Interesting store. A mini version of Saraga's (38th St & Lafayette Rd) IMHO. Due to an issue at Saraga's (Southside location), my best girlfriend suggested her fav local market. Since Viet Hua is across the street from Saraga's, a decision was made to check this place out. Low & below we found our new go to place when fresh fish/crab is a want. A lot of the items in this store are clearly marked in the original language. Fortunately for the folks that solely interact in English, pictures of the items are also afforded ;). The aroma when walking into this market gives the shopping experience a what IS that notion. Might be off putting to some or a quirky let's find out, shall we... take to others. We are of the latter. We found what we needed & then some. Ok ok ok a lot of extras were purchased. Just giving a heads up. This place is on Madison Avenue & Stop 11. Stop 11 has a lot of potholes so be careful as potholes may be dangerous & damaging. Upon arriving know that the parking area is very funky. You might not wanna be dancing to tunes in your ride & instantly become a newbie driver (vigilant). As long as patience is your given, you'll be fine. It'll be a whoop whoop in your mind in terms of fresh vegetables. We were in the mindset of a next time we need the freshest vegetables, let's go to this place. This market has the value that exceeded our expectations. We were amazed in how big the inside was in this market. Everything had a place neatly tucked & the variety of things we didn't know we just had to have today. Good for this store AND us!Hope you give this market a look see. I'd go during the day so traffic & stuff won't be as hairy. Stay well & safe,Amy

I went to this market recently and it's a pretty good size market. It has a fairly decent variety of goods to choose from. The gal at the register was very nice. I was having a little bit of an issue communicating with her, but I think I figured it out for the most part. They seemed very busy. It has been a long time since I've been in an Asian market store so it was very fun, interesting and cool to look around and discover all kinds of products. Since it is spring time, they even sold some sone plants like tomatoes, herbs, and peppers as well. I enjoyed the experience and I will probably go back and look around some more and maybe buy some different items.

In October, I went to visit my daughter in Greenwood, IN. And of course, my daughter placed a large request for her favorite dishes. So I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to find an Asian Grocery Store in the area with what I needed for my ingredients. And boy was I wrong, going forward I will not haul everything from home. This Asian Grocery Store in Indianapolis, IN had everything I needed and more. It's like Super Walmart but Asian Style!. I have to admit though it did have a stank smell when you first enter the store. But that was only because of the fresh seafood and that's understandable. Fresh is fresh and can't get any fresher than that! There was so much to see and so little time. It was nice to find things I couldn't find in a smaller store/town. If I can spend a whole day in there I would.Huge selections!! From drinks, sauces, noodles, rice, snacks, dry goods, fresh meat, fresh seafood, bakery, pots/pans/dishes/utensils, frozen foods, small eatery and more....I gave it a 4 star because some items are not marked with prices. I don't like that and then have to ask for it. It's my pet peeve! Overall the store was very clean, organized, aisles are wide/no clutter. It's definitely recommended from me!! I will stop back next year!!

I was surprised to see this market also on the south side of Indy as I was heading to the Saraga grocery store across the street. I spoke to a cafe staff who said they only have fresh roast duck on the weekends and sell them for $28 whole while their sister store in Castleton has fresh duck daily and will sell as a half duck if desired. I arrived after 7 PM and the cafe was closed but I would like to try again if I am in the area for another Yelp event.I found lots of items I bought to try that I have not noticed at the Castleton location. The lemon puffs were OK. The crispy white sardine was good. The egg rolls were less than expected in the package. I have sweet potato noodles yet to try.I found two groups of items that had recently expired within the week or so. The staff was very willing to address by removing them from the shelves.

Great selection! I had imagined that it would mainly have Vietnamese food because of the name but they have Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean and Japanese stuff too. I had fun walking around the store looking at variety of things. I really like the aisle where they have pans, ceramic plates and tea cups. However- most of the bottled drinks I really wanted to buy, were either EXPIRED or close to its expiration. At time of the review it's 12/22/19 and I saw things that had expired in September. Their inventory control is questionable- which is sad to say. So I probably will not return but I do hope they pay more attention to the inventory.

For a few years I exclusively went to Saragas but once I saw Viet Hua Opened my husband and I haven't gone back! Their store has good upkeep and a large variety. Very nice looking fish tanks specifically meant for purchasing fresh fish, good quality produce, fresh baked goods, and almost all the ingredients I need for the recipes I want to try. Also very large meat selection that you won't find at places like Kroger for exceptional prices. Just make sure you bag the meat separately.

Viet Hua has a great selection of Asian grocery items. I'm Korean so I usually go to Viet Hua for a quick trip to grab Korean items. Also I often buy cut pork belly to grill.

Great Asian supermarket in Greenwood. Spacious, wide selection of fresh produce, seafood, live lobster, and frozen items. Small food court with bubble tea store. Price is reasonable.

Great selections but they didn't have the exact mochi I was looking for. I made a substitution sesame mochi that actually worked quite nicely.
