The food was great! Your normal Mexican food but more upscale. The service was great. We went on a Friday at 5:30 and had reservations. We didn't need them at that time but by the time we left, it was busy. The ambiance is definitely an upscale Mexican restaurant. The prices reflect that. Parking is in the lot right in front of the restaurant.

I've been to the one in Fishers twice and haven't been to Verde in years. My friend was treating me so decided to give it another try. I definitely liked what we ordered this time - all the dishes were good. Our server wasn't as attentive - but we got what we needed eventually. We ordered the Tiradito De Atun, Shrimp Tacos, and Cochinita Pibil. Everything was good - the serveware the Cochinita Pibil came on looked cool, but was difficult to get to the sauces/sides.Overall, I enjoyed my dinner - there's plenty of seating. It looks like they have a private room as well, if you wanted to do a small group gathering. They have a bar area with tall tables too.

I realized during dinner tonight that I am old. This place looked very welcoming when we first walked in, and we were greeted and seated promptly, but I realized after the hosts left us with menus that it was so dark that I had some difficulty reading the menu, and I puzzled over the artwork over the bar for a long time before figuring out that it was not a bunch of loose pipes but a sculpture of a herd of black horses... pretty cool sculpture but really hard to see in the low lighting. It was also loud - between the music and the TVs and the people - and our table for 6 was large (even my mother seated directly across from me seemed far away) so it was very difficult to keep up a conversation. In addition to the table being large, the chairs were low - making me feel like I needed a booster seat. We started with guacamole, which was good, but in the middle of the table only two of the six of us could reach it. The salsa was very good, and I appreciated that we each got our own bowl of salsa so I could always reach that, I ordered the veggie tacos, which came with a cup of black beans and a cup of salsa. I found both the tacos and the black beans rather bland, though after adding guacamole and salsa the tacos were good. The service was really good - we never had to wait very long for anything, the waiter kept bringing out more bottles of water and fresh chips whenever we were running low, and he didn't seem to mind having to walk around the table and repeat everything he said when we couldn't hear him. I have to mention the flaming lava rock bowls that we saw being delivered to other tables... I'm guessing from the menu descriptions that was the molcajete, and it was exciting. My final verdict is that I'm unlikely to return here indoors due to the dark, loud environment and uncomfortable seating, but the good appetizers and fine service may be enough to draw me back in the summer to try their outdoor patio dining. And if you're young enough to have decent vision in low light and don't mind loud spaces, then I recommend you give this place a try.

We came here for dinner in late December, and while I had been to the Zionsville location before, this was my first trip to the Carmel location; we were happy the Carmel location takes reservations for small groups vs only larger groups! As with all things in Carmel, it can be a little tricky to find and we gave up on figuring out where to park around back, but were able to easily find street parking nearby on a Sunday night. We started with the shrimp ceviche which was delicious along with the complimentary chips and salsa. I had the margarita trio which includes the house, Texas, and a seasonal variety which somehow for December was strawberry? All were good with the Texas being my favorite of the three. I had the mole tacos for my entree and they were excellent! The mole was quite good and the chicken was tender and flavorful. We shared an order of churros for dessert which came in an adorable cart! They were fresh and delicious. Service was great. The only downside was that there was a private party with an extremely loud mariachi band. The band was excellent and included trumpets, violins...the works! But....very very loud...it made it hard to have a conversation and they played pretty much the whole time we were there. Again, they were great musicians, but we just weren't expecting the atmosphere to be so loud.

Food was fine... Writing a review to talk about this guac. As you can see it's just a bowl of pico. $12 for pico. Asked the waiter if this was normal.... He just said he'll bring some more avocado out and never did.

I forgot how good this place. It's been a while since last time, which was also a good experience! I reserved a table through OpenTable but max of 6 so called for additional seat and they were very accommodating. The table was ready on time. Our server was nice and quick with the food orders. The chips were delicious as expected with their salsa. Got the arroz con pollo and added veggies and shrimp (small up charge) but it was delicious. It came out smothered in melted cheese and it was wonderful. I would get it again. Next time I'll come back and try a margarita and maybe an order of tacos :)

Fancy looking establishment but unfortunately everything else fell flat.We stopped here for lunch and were one of the first people there. Sat right around, put in our orders and then from there everything took forever. I can be patient with that but it was over lunch and I would think restaurants in the area would be better equipped to deal with the lunch rush. I saw our server putting in our order a good 10 mins after we ordered then we had to chase him down just to give him money.Food wise. Standard Mexican menu with lunch specials during the week. The carnitas tacos were delicious but if they're going to upcharge for street corn, I would expect more than a ramekins worth. All in all, just disappointing

Ordered Cadillac Margaritas, Fajitas, and Carnitas. Food had good flavor but don't expected it to be the best you have had. Cadillac Margarita were ok and the glass was 100% ice. For the price ($18 each) you should get a drink that is amazing and isn't 4 oz of liquid in a 12 oz glass. Fajitas were good but don't be fooled, there is no sizzle to the fajitas when they come out. Carnitas had great flavor but seemed over cooked as they were a little dry and the meat was hard to pull apart. Both the fajitas and carnitas come with tortillas but they are the 3 inch tortillas so very difficult to put much in the tortilla to eat. The carnitas also came with some sort of pinto bean soup which again had good flavor but had a ridiculous amount of salt. My wife commented that her blood pressure went up 20 points after one bite. Our server was very nice but overall the service of getting our drinks, order being taken, receiving our food and paying the bill was extremely slow. The restaurant was not overly busy for a Friday night so not sure what happened with the service and food. While the food had good flavor, overall I don't think this is somewhere I will be returning to.

This is my new favorite taco spot! Beautiful interior, awesome art pieces, and friendly staff. Perfect for a date night. Pulpo (Octopus) Tacos - Absolute perfection. Perfectly balanced, beautiful citrus flavor, and plenty of filling. Every bite was orgasmic. You can't find fault in this taco. It's the best octopus I've ever had, and I've ate at a Michelin 1 Star taco place in California. This is by far the best taco you could ever eat. You must get this. 5/5 stars.Quesabirria Tacos - The menu says it's made of beef, but I tasted a slight hint of gamey flavor (not unpleasant, because I am definitely not a fan of gamey flavors). I'm pretty sure it's goat. Anyways, the taco is delicious. Not too greasy, and the flavor is spot on. Is it the best quesabirria taco? Maybe not #1, but probably top 3. Still very good and worth trying. 5/5 stars.I would love to try more tacos, but there's no way I can order anything but the octopus tacos. The woes of finding a perfect taco.Go here, you won't regret it.

Great date night spot.Live music, cool lights outside. The only reason I do not give it a five is a bit pricey for Mexican. The food is good not great, the drinks were delicious!Service was awesome and I left my sunglasses there and they kept them safe until the next day.
