I had a very enjoyable experience when having dinner at Verde this past Thursday. As a California native, I tend to be very critical of my Mexican food but overall, Verde exceeded my expectations. The Ironworks location is gorgeous! It was extremely clean, and all the décor was thought out and not overwhelming. I also enjoyed that the restaurant opened up to an ourdoor patio.I didn't get a drink, but my friends were kind enough to let me sample theirs. I was floored with how good they were! I'm not a tequila person and therefore, not very into margaritas, but the Strawberry margarita has me rethinking my opinions. The Strawberry Margarita was so smooth and tasted just like sweet strawberries. There was also no strong tequila aftertaste like with most margaritas. When I go back, I will definitely be getting myself one! I also tried the seasonal margarita from the Margarita Trio, which was spicy pineapple. I'm not huge into spice so it wasn't my favorite, but I could understand how it could be refreshing.Of course, we started with complementary chips and salsa. Not my favorite chips as they weren't the most flavorful, but the salsa was very yummy! It had the perfect balance of spice and sweetness. We ordered guacamole for the table and it was scrumptious! It was not too chunky and was just the right item to add some flavor to the bland chips. Moving onto the entrée, I opted for the Steak Fajitas. I let them know that I have a sensitivity to gluten, and they were very accommodating to my needs. The presentation of my meal was spectacular, and I could definitely tell everything on my plate was of the best and most fresh quality. I had so much food that I was able to take half of it home for lunch the next day.Just as we were finishing up, our waiter surprised the birthday girl with a complementary piece of cake and a sparkling candle. It was such an unexpected and kind gesture for the staff of the restaurant to make the birthday girl's night a little more special. I had a taste of the frosting, and it was so sweet and addictive. I can only imagine what it tasted on the cake!Overall, my trip to Verde was a success! However I will say, it is a little more expensive than your average Mexican restaurant. Just be prepared that entrees are anywhere from 15 to 30 dollars and alcoholic drinks are in the range of 12 to 18 dollars. In my opinion, the money is worth it for the delicious food, drinks, great ambience and fabulous wait staff.

Holy Guacamole!!!!I honestly think I have seen it all. My wife and I decided to swing into Verde for a quick bite this evening as we have many evenings. We have always been pleased by the food. This evening, we couldn't believe the level of intoxication at the bar. The management and bartenders continued to funnel booze down the throats of customers. To top it off, a group was drinking high end tequila and the intoxicated patron spilled the glass. The manager on duty encouraged the customer to lick it off the bar!!!! What happens?.?.?.? the customer literally starts licking the bar in front of the manager while his friends cheered. I nearly vomited and contemplated calling 911 on behalf of the customer. Our food was delivered, piping hot as I love about Verde. The server decided my wife's black beans looked better in her pants than the cup they were served in. Maybe a complementary drink was in order, but we couldn't even receive a replacement cup of black beans. . It happens. As we were wrapping up our dinner, waitress takes my plate before I was actually done. As my plate is halfway across the restaurant, she turns and looks at me and asks 'are you done?' I guess I am now. We have always liked Verde but tonight's experience foreshadowed what Verde is becoming. Knowingly over serving their customers, increasing prices while reducing portion sizes and serving drinks in smaller glasses is all concerning. I realize their expansion across Indianapolis has been impressive but this level of service and debauchery will catch up. Buyer beware...Verde is changing and not for the better.

I have been wanting to try Verde for quite some time. The stars finally aligned and I was here for a mentor lunch. I was pretty shocked to see there were very few people there on a beautiful day for lunch. The inside is very pretty and welcoming, but I admit I was concerned by the lack of company.I asked the hostess if they had a separate GF menu. The response was "you can find something on the menu." This was my first fear - lack of knowledge. When I asked the server, she brought out a list. I opted for the fajitas. They were tasty. The whole experience at the restaurant was just bizarre. Tough to even explain in writing. I hope it was an isolated incident, but I have to say I won't be back to validate.

Met some friends there last week and I was not feeling too well and I asked our server if I could just get a plain cheese quesadilla he says we don't make those so when I ordered, I ended up ordering a chicken quesadilla with no chicken and he didn't seem to have a problem with that...not good customer service, a cheese quesadilla cost me $16.50 Just ridiculous. It wasn't the best service I had as well....my husband accidentally knocked his beer off the table and it took almost 10 minutes for the waiter to come back to the table...

I really like Verde. I've been to the location in Carmel and liked it as well. The food is good, it can be expected to be busy on weekends and reservations would be wise. They had a deejay and the music was very upbeat on a Friday night, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Celebrated a birthday here and so glad we did it was delicious. I've seen reviews about the service being slow here, but we had excellent service. We got good suggestions and ordered the Verde Dip per our waitresses suggestion. It was delicious. I decided on the Quesabirria tacos, which were amazing. I've had these several locations and I got to say I think this location makes the best! Hubs had the Ribeye tacos and it comes with Bone Marrow that he enjoyed a lot. Also the Carne Asada was great! The restaurant was decorated nice and great ambiance. They also brought a delicious piece of birthday cake, and left me a birthday card on the table. They did a great job of celebrating the birthday and also put a special candle on the table.

Beautiful decor AND food. We stopped in on a Friday night around 7, and it was pretty packed, but we still got seated right away. The hosts and servers were all really friendly, but the service was fairly slow. I think it took a good hour to put our order in and get our food. The food was delicious and the drinks were pretty good. I had the Burrito Mexican vegetarian. It was filled with rice, beans, pico de gallo and then zucchini, fajita veggies, and romanesco cauliflower. The veggies were a little al dente which was a weird texture in the burrito but still good. I was glad to see there were so many vegetarian options between burritos, chimichangas, and fajitas. The drinks were strong. Of the Sangria and the Corazon Oaxaqueno, I liked the Sangria better. Both were beautifully presented. Some dishes come out on fire, which we were not expecting. My friend ordered the cochinita pibil and they light the tray under the dish on fire as they drop it off at your table. We saw several other tables with dishes like steak that were also on fire. It also seemed like they brought out sparklers with dessert for special occasions. Overall, everyone in my group loved their food and the atmosphere. It was on the more expensive side, but we didn't mind given the fun and unique atmosphere. We would definitely come back during a less busy time.

This is a high end Mexican restaurant! I recommend trying something other than tacos here! Wow! Hands down one of the best Red Snapper meals I have ever had! I loved the presentation as well! It has a light flavorful seasoned crust served with a tasty dipping sauce! The atmosphere is very nice! The staff attentive and friendly! I'm already looking forward to going back!
