These guys were posted up near a movie theatre in Carmel that I happened to be at, so I went over to get a little something. I ordered an arepa (a fried corn dough pocket with a filling, basically). It was great! I usually take a photo of everything I eat, but I was so hungry and feeling indulgent and gluttonous, and the arepa looked so good, that I neglected to take a photo. Apparently, Venezuelan Cheat Meal is from Westfield, but you can find this food truck all over central Indiana. Like a lot of food trucks, they are super active on social media (Instagram). All of their posts are in Spanish, which I love, but I don't speak Spanish, and if you don't either, you will need to smash that "See translation" link.

I had heard a lot about this place from some coworkers and decided to go check it out on a Saturday evening. Even though the menu is in Spanish the workers there spoke English and were helping me pick out something good to eat. I opted for the pork areapas as well as the tequenos. The areapas were delicious, but different than I expected. They were little fried dough pucks--smaller and more crunchy than the Colombian versions that I had before. The truck itself seems to be tucked into a random location between a Discount Tire and Holliday Inn but, as I waited for my order, I saw car after car come by and pick up their food. It seems to be a hit with the local community and I can definitely see why!

Had a great dinner tonight. I got a new item that wasn't on the menu yet. Was steak bits and salsa and cheese all in a corn pita like shell. Had the breaded fried cheese with garlic creme sauce that was really good as an appetizer. Staff is friendly, helpful and the food is amazing, you should try it out! They are open Thursdays through Sunday from 6pm to 11pm. Their are in the parking lot West of Anytime Fitness off 32 and Cary Rd. (Where Little Caesars used to be.) When I asked if they had a schedule of where they would be they told me that's their perm. location till the restaurant opens, oh yeah, they are opening a permanent restaurant in the location of the old Little Caesar's!They have temporary seating and tables along the building where you can dine al fresco till they get the restaurant ready. If you haven't tried it, do yourself a favor and stop by soon!

This is an amazing new restaurant in Westfield. I've already been 3 times since I discovered it. Everything I've had is delicious and nothing that I've ever found at any other restaurant. You should definitely check it out. Bring the kids too as they have huge burgers that probably can feed 2-3 of your kids! :-)

Saw this restaurant opened recently and thought we'd try it for a date night. The food was awesome! It was a bit of an adventure because the menu is in Spanish, but the staff was awesome and walked us through the options. We had a few of the appetizers (empanadas, tequenos (think awesome mozzarella sticks), and plantain trio) and the chicken and steak Arapas asada for our meals. All were fantastic.

I had never had Venezuelan food until tonight. The manlager of the truck was extremely nice and helpful in explaining this type of food to me. I ordered the Arepas which had pulled pork, fried cheese, and a corn bun with a delicious avocado Crema. He sent me off with complementary cheese sticks, and a cola, since I was new to this region of food. The breadsticks were absolutely delicious, and the cola had a very light fruity flavor to it, which complemented my meal.I really enjoyed my meal and will be returning to this food truck.
