I was in search of a soap dispenser (exciting right?) and I had passed Urban Styles Furniture several times and thought it looked really cool but had never stopped in. I decided to pull in on a whim because the sign said they had home decor and I thought there might be a chance they'd have my soap dispenser. They didn't have any soap dispensers but they had a lot of other things. Huge wall clocks, bedroom, living room and dining room furniture and some area rugs. I wish I had taken some photos while I was in there. The next time I'm in search of a huge wall clock I will definitely check this place out. Easy parking right out front of the store and I was greeted by someone before I walked in the store.

There's a lot packed in this store but everything is overpriced in my opinion. If you are looking for unique pieces and have money to waste then you might love this place. For example there were various sizes of leather encased coolers ranging from $500 and upwards. As the average person I can't justify spending such ridiculous prices.

You know that gross feeling you get when you leave a car dealership and you feel like you've been scammed into getting a car you didn't love? That's how I feel after my experience with Urban Styles. We bought a sectional at the height of the pandemic when all furniture delivery was like 6 months behind. The salesman that helped us, Jeff, was nice enough, very salesmany, but he told us he had the exact sectional I was looking for, in another color, ready to be delivered that upcoming weekend, it was on sale, and it came with a warrantee. He said not to worry about the color tho, it was made out of some special "kid-proof and pet-proof" material, and pointed to the sign on the floor model. Specifically, "I have 3 boys at home and our sofa is lighter than this one. If anything spills, we just wipe it off and you can't even tell."Now, this is probably where I should've realized that things sounded too good to be true, but this was my 6th store and the only one that could guarantee me delivery before next Easter. So we bought it.Fast forward one year. If you breathe in the direction of this thing, while wearing denim, it stains. The frame creaks like the floors in an old house. There are a total of 5 seat cushions, 3 are missing zippers, 1 has a tear where the couch fabric meets the thinner lining fabric on the bottom. And I don't live in a frat house, I don't have pets, there's one kid here that spends most of his day gaming in his room. We're not playing "floor is lava" I swear.So we reached out via email on Jan 11, 2022. We got a response pretty quickly to send purchase information and photos. This is about when customer service ended. Emails have gone unanswered, phone calls have gone unreturned, text messages have been blatantly ignored. Today is June 29, 2022, almost a full 6 months later, and no resolution. We have stopped in the store, only to be told by Michael and James that they were the managers and so sorry this has happened, they would both get right on it and fix this because they both "felt terrible" and "wanted to make this right." Michael gave us his phone number and as of today has not responded since June 2nd. At this point, I'm pretty positive it's a lost cause, I just hope no one else gets stuck with a lemon from the sleazy car salesmen.

Urban Styles is the most unique furniture and decor store around Indy! Just about every time I take a trip there, I go in looking for one thing, but leave with another I didn't know I needed. From quirky decor to staple furniture pieces they have such a fully stocked floor. The prices tags look intimating, but speak with an employee and you'll always get a deal.

Our daughter had recently purchased a table and chair set from Urban Styles and had a positive experience here, so my wife wanted to check out the store since she liked the style.Although we didn't make any purchases, we were amazed at the unique and stylish pieces we saw here. Whether it was furniture or accessories, the items were different from anywhere else. The prices do tend to run on the expensive side, but there were sales going on to bring the prices down to a more affordable range. When we entered, we were greeted and asked if we were looking for anything in particular, and then given his name if we had any questions. We then browsed around the different spaces set up like rooms or collections for a good half hour. Everything was really cool.The only negative was that when my wife had some questions about one of the sets, she went to the guy who had greeted us after he had gotten off the phone. But instead of coming over, he made another phone call. After awhile, we gave up and left. Lost sale. waugh waugh!Review #2048

Ordered a living room set and 2 sets of theatre seats on June 6th, was told it would take 6-7 weeks. After many texts, phone calls, none returned phone calls we finally received our furniture on September 9th. However... they only delivered 5 out of 6 seats. How this happens I'm not even sure since they come in a set of 3 as a set. I was told we would be pushed to the front due to the error. Then told it would ship Oct 10th and they would contact me for a delivery date. That didn't happen. On Oct 15th I called and was told I would have an answer the next day. Didn't happen. Just now I call and they say my salesman is on vacation (that dude is always on vacation) and that it would be sometime in November. Seriously 6 months later and we won't have all of our pieces. Stay away from this place. It's nothing but stress and putting your life on hold waiting on them. The communication is non existent and it's always the manufacturer's fault. The whole situation is a joke.UPDATE: after more phone calls, an email and my husband threatening to sue they finally emailed with a delivery date of 1/21/21.... 8 months after the order was placed. Mind blown. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

My regret is that I didn't read reviews before shopping at Urban Styles. They were an accurate foreshadowing of my experience.To be fair, the original shopping experience was enjoyable. The eclectic merchandise and our personable salesperson, Leslie, were a welcome diversion from the tedious task of shopping for furniture. We purchased a sectional with a 4-6 week wait for delivery.Our first issue arose upon delivery, 7 weeks later. The delivery service couldn't move furniture from a truck to a house. An hour of attempts resulted in a successful delivery with minor damage to my doorframes. Then, I looked at the furniture. The hooks which hold two of the sections together didn't line up. In addition, the pieces didn't line up, resulting in a large V-shaped gap in the back.I immediately began filing a claim and sent detailed photographs. During the process, the stitching on one of the cushions came apart. I added these photos to my claim and waited for a reply.The manager informed me that they would be sending a repair agent from the manufacturer. I attempted to explain that the problem was not damage but of a manufacturing fault resulting in a malformed frame. The discussion went on for several weeks until he was finally convinced that the best scenario would be to order a replacement piece. He informed me that I should expect an additional 4-6 week wait.I waited out my time and, as promised, my piece arrived at the warehouse 6 weeks later. The third party delivery service scheduled a delivery. It arrived, only to discover that they had sent the wrong piece.I returned to the store and spoke again with Leslie. She was very understanding and even suggested that this had gone on for so long that a refund would probably be in order. As I had already invested so much time in the furniture, I asked if we could just try to re-order the correct piece and go from there. I was told that this would take another 3-5 weeks.5 weeks later, the piece arrived and we scheduled an appointment for a sunday. My delivery window came and went with no communication from the delivery service. I called to find out what had happened and received no explanation, only a rescheduled appointment for Tuesday. Tuesday came and went with, again, no communication. I was rescheduled again for Friday. This delivery was also never to arrive. Each attempt required me to wait around the house all day as no specific delivery window could be provided.At this point, I was finished with Urban Styles. I reached out to Mike, the manager, to inform him that I wished to return the furniture and move on. He asked me to wait for his call on monday, when he would have a chance to speak with the owner and come up with a solution. Monday came and went with no communication. I called on Tuesday and was told that Mike was out of the store until Thursday. I visited the store on Thursday to discover that Mike was again not in the store.On Saturday, I traveled to the store in-person to speak with mike. He was on the phone when I arrived, so I stood paitently and waited for him. When his call was completed, he walked away from me without a word and gave my invoice to another person. I was definitely put out but this gentleman, Jimmy, seemed eager to help. I was told that a refund would be forthcoming and that we would be able to schedule a pick-up date for the furniture on Monday. He even gave me his phone number to allow us to text about the transaction. The following Monday, Jimmy called to tell us the date of pickup. On Friday, he called to verify the date, as there was some miscommunication between the store and the delivery service. He said that he would check with the delivery folks and call me back that evening with an appointment. This call was never to happen.On Monday, I texted him to ask what had happened with the scheduling. He replied with a name and phone number of yet another person to speak with. When I expressed my frustration with this further muddying of the waters, he quite rudely informed me that today was his day off, gave me condescending "advice" on how I /should/ have worded my response to him, and stated that he would no longer be speaking to me.Ultimately, the furniture was picked up. We had been informed that a refund would be processed as soon as they picked up there furniture. I waited almost a week to hear from the store. Finally, I returned to the store. They had decided to wait for me to return to the store to process my refund. The refund did process by the middle part of the next week. At this point, exactly six months had elapsed since my initial order. I had been shocked at every turn by the lack of basic understanding of customer service exhibited by almost everyone I have dealt with in this store. My advice would be to avoid this store for any major purchases. The whimsical and most likely overpriced accessories and decor are fun and probably your best bet.

Following this, the store manager (Mike) was able to assist me and explain the situation further. The manufacturer didn't want to cover the damage, so Urban Styles decided they would provide a new ottoman for me if I returned my damaged one. They are going to continue discussing with the manufacturer to get their replacement. This was extremely helpful and I'm grateful they offered to eat the cost while fighting the manufacturers warranty. Thank you all!

I'm so heartbroken. May 2022 we placed an order with the manager for a large piece of wall art... we were assured that it would only take about 8 weeks and that shipping to Florida wouldn't be a problem. So we happily paid for our art and extra shipping.Now here we are in March 2023 and we still don't have our wall art. I have called dozens of times. Spoken with more than 3 different employees, been told that they would call me back but no one ever does. I have even messaged the CEO on LinkedIn to no avail. I Was told that my item was in the warehouse... then that it was in the wrong warehouse but it is now in the right warehouse... then that they were just back logged and trying to get through a bunch of other orders... then that the original quote for shipping isn't going to cover what shipping companies are quoting now... then I was assured that it would be delivered in 10-14 days because the shipping broker was working on it. That was in January 13th.Well here we are, March 13th, and still no delivery. I just want what I've paid for and what I was promised. No one will call me back, no one will give me real answers. The sad thing is that I still want the wall art that I purchased!!!!!!!! I just want someone to figure this out and make it right!!!
