Always a Hit!I've been to several Upland locations, and it smacks every time.Listen, you CANNOT go to Upland and not get the mac and cheese. It's genuinely the best I've ever had--and I'm picky about my mac and cheese. If you don't get it as your meal, at least get it as a side. Trust me.I tried Zest to Impress on tap, and it was pretty good! Definitely a true sour ale, but if you're into that, you'll love it.

It's good food for the price but the service left me scratching my head. It may have just been a bad night but our group was left waiting to place our order for awhile and hanging with empty drink cups for long stretches. I ended up just going to the bar for refills. The waitstaff were nice enough but they may have just been overwhelmed. The food itself was good and the menu seems to have something for everyone. I'm willing to go back again but am hesitant solely on the service.

Dinner before a show at the Annex and did not disappoint. My beer was tasty and the pretzels were huge. I'll be back again for sure.

The swordfish tacos were great! I wish it came with a bit more fish, but the flavor did not disappoint. We went for a birthday and they gave us the back room, but the ambiance of the main area looked lively. Not much else on the menu peaked my interest, but I could order this every time and be happy. I did not try any drinks, but they had a sour that peaked my interest.

It's nice to visit Indy and see Fountain Square all growed up with awesome local spots along the main stretch. I've always been a fan of Upland - they're one of the Indiana craft beer OGs, so I was pleasantly surprised to see them in the restaurant space. My brother and his coworkers have an office space nearby and this place has become a staple in their lunch rotation. With mine/my mom's visit it was nice to lunch there after checking out the office. Due to our group size, we were directed to the outside patio for one of the large tables (why not, it was nice/cool for us Zonies). But ignored for about 10-15 minutes! Such a bummer to start lunch off- it was like pulling teeth to get someone to acknowledge us, take drink/food orders, etc until my brother went up to the bar. The beers in my flight were fine. Nothing crazy/experimental was on tap so I stuck to light otions. It was a bit of a disappointment I couldn't get the Pacers beer on tap, but the Hoosier one was nice. The only one I really disliked was the Two Tart (still trying to acclimate to Goses). And Holy Sandwich -- the Tendys in Indy indeed are still the size of my face (or bigger). Definitely hit the spot, complemented by crispy fries and a umami aoli. If I still lived in the area I def would make this a regular hangout spot for me and my friends.

Spoiler alert, my food was so good I forgot the most important rule of Yelp: the phone eats first. Upland FSQ is a bit of an Indy staple, and I've been before but only got around to writing my review now. Famous for their signature brews, you have no trouble finding anything beer-related on the menu. All drinks are listed on their website, including a few N/A beers(!!) with just their food options on the paper menu. A Wednesday night is actually kind of busy so service was not the quickest but perfectly within reason given the crowd size. The space is also a little loud since it's more of an open concept space but you also get to look at the impressive display of legs with this. I ordered...Pulled pork sandwich with beer cheese fries ($15): probably amongst two of my favorite foods in the whole world. I am only remiss that I couldn't get a picture of my plate to share with you all :/

**BRUNCH REVIEW ONLY**We went here for brunch a few weeks back and I was surprised by the presentation and type of brunch that was served. I had been here previously for the Bagel Breakfast Sandwich and it SLAPPED so hard!!! We got the Chicken and Waffles, Biscuits and Gravy and French Toast. As you can see, it's very much presentation-heavy, however I found the flavors were lacking and did not meet my expectations. The chicken and waffles went pretty heavy on the rosemary / seasoning which was unexpected and not desired. The French toast was good, but too sweet for me. The biscuits and gravy were good, but I wish it were more sausage heavy!I'll totally be back for brunch, but only for the Breakfast Bagel!!!

Two years later and I love this place still as much as I did two years ago. Upland is consistently delicious and I love their beer. This is a family favorite, especially in the summer when we can sit on the patio and then explore other parts of Fountain Square. The WIT mac hand cheese is still my all time favorite there! I recently had fried chicken added and that was delicious too. I've never had bad service during any and all of my visits. Always recommend!

Tried a variety of brews here and ended up loving the Revive - a barrel-aged fruited sour! Much to my pleasure they weren't overly stocked with IPAs and had a good variety of summer beers including a variety of sours. We got food too, which was standard pub food. Nothing to write home about but nothing bad either.
