Upland Brewing

**This review is super delayed, oops! First time checking out the newly re-opened Upland Brewing Profile Taproom location - such a cool spot! Huge Outdoor Patio Cozy inside with Pinball Kid Friendly Dog Friendly PatioI can't wait for the weather to warm back up so I can head to the patio with my pup!

My book club meets here. Very chill place. Outdoor seating is nice. They don't have hot/prepared food, but you can bring food from other restaurants. I've seen people bring Mother Bears and that seems like a good idea

The Hoosier tenderloin was not good. It tasted and looked like it was baked in an oven or microwave. Not what I am used to eating.. The ambiance was great on the patio however.

Full disclosure, I haven't had a chance to visit in person, but wanted to give a shout out to Upland for producing some excellent selections that are available at most grocery stores in Bloomington and Indy. Champagne Velvet is a great pilsner that doesn't overpower food, so goes with just about anything, It's a great summer beer too! I also love the Dragonfly IPA and Bad Elmer's Porter. These are favorites of out of state family members too, so I'm often bringing beverages to gatherings...back when we used to have gatherings in the "before times" that is...sigh...Anyway, I have been enjoying Upland's beers with carryout during these strange times, and I plan to visit in person here on one of my trips down to Bloomington. I also want to check out the brewpubs in Indy as soon as this pandemic settles down!

I was lucky enough to visit the Tasting Room on a private tour given to myself and a co-worker when we decided to partner with Upland for an event so I know my experience was extra special...but you don't need a special tour to love on this little gem of Bloomington.No matter what kind of brew you're into, Upland has got you covered. From their specialty styles that are only served in house to your classic Dragonfly Wheat and Champagne Velvet, the staff here is incredibly knowledgeable on beer in general and can lead you in the right direction once they know what you like. The staff here really makes the place. From the brewers in the back to the people pouring up front, everyone is very friendly and you can feel their passion for the craft in each conversation that you have with them. Be sure to make it a stop on your next visit to the Bloom!

Upland Brewery is a great place to spend some time in Bloomington. I am not a huge fan of IPA's and more of the bitter beers; however, Upland has a few options for those of us who prefer wheat beer. Additionally, there is ample parking near the establishment which makes for easy access. Every year, Upland hosts Hillbilly Haiku which is a FANTASTIC mini music festival held at their brewery. Great vibes, great food, great tunes, and great atmosphere. Since I've moved from Bloomington, I've missed Hillbilly Haiku and hope I can get back there soon.

Honestly, one of the best kept secrets in Bloomington. Half-off pints on Sundays. Extremely animal friendly. And another free glass when you fill a growler. Yes, this will become a very regular stop us now on Sundays.

Worst experience ever I will not be coming back. Very rude I was shocked with how awful I was treated. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place like the plague. I will also be informing my co-workers at cook to stay away.

Fresh beer, cool atmosphere. I've been here in the winter, spring, summer, and fall, indoors, outdoors, day, and night and I my only complaint is I wish it were bigger. Really a chill venue and easy to get in and out.

Delicious food, great atmosphere and service. You cannot go wrong here!! Try the burger and the salmon sandwich.
