I'm not sure who gives a neighborhood park a bad rating, but ignore the first review about this place. This is exactly what a small park in the middle of a residential neighborhood near a liberal arts university should be. A great little picnic area, a little library, and a water supply for larger events. Clean, quiet, and well maintained.I just worked there this weekend on some mulching duties as part of the University Heights Neighborhood Association group, with folks who live next door, students and faculty from UIndy, and even a couple alums.

This new park has great potential. There is a new gazebo/shelter that still has the bright cedar color on the beams. The pathways are paved. There are benches and the perimeter of the park has a natural garden look to it. But that's it. There are no picnic tables in the shelter. No room for activities other than maybe quiet reflection/contemplation. That's fine, but the place looks like it isn't finished. I'll have to stop by later this year to see if it has continued in its development.Review #620
