Union Brewing Company

It's hard to get a good picture, but this place is a whole vibe. Located on the Monon path pretty close to the Hotel Carmichael. It's a brewing company set up in a garage with a simple outdoor seating area. We've gone here twice now when we've needed a break from Carmel Fest (July 4th). It's a great atmosphere with fun times and a good variety of tasty craft beverages. Blink and you'll miss it - and you definitely don't want to do that!

Union brewing is such a cool place right off the monon! They always have live music which is an A+ in my book. The vibe of this place during the day and at night is amazing. I also love that they are super dog friendly! Their beer is pretty good. It's a limited selection, but what they do have is good. They do usually have something for everyone. They have a lot of seating options, however you can opt to bring your own lawn chairs so you don't have to wait for a table to open up. It does get busy on the weekend!

I'm an OG mug club member so a bit biased but the new UBC has the same vibe as the old spot. There are some improvements including a larger tv and more taps. The old bar made it and no more hooks for mug clubbers. We have shelves. You want a good local pub then this your place.

Checked this place out. It was ok. Went to the bar and informed the bartender it was our first time there and he literally said nothing to us. I was expecting a little about the place and their beers. It's a nice space, right off the Monon. They let you bring in your own food as they don't have a kitchen. We only had one beer each and we didn't feel too welcome. Our beers were just ok. I would've liked to try more, but again, we didn't seem welcome.

This is a great little brewing company located right off the Monon in between City Center Dr and Main St. They have a great outdoor seating section and a few seats located inside, however, it is open air. They have great music and awesome beer as well. Great place to stop by if you are on the Monon!

Came here the other day to try the place. It's a great location just off the bike trail with a spacious patio. The inside itself is pretty small and tight, but it's got some charm. The beer options were limited. They had about 4 taps of their own beer and 4 guest taps. We tried the milk stout and the moroccan blonde. The blonde was actually really good, slightly sweet and well balanced. Unfortunately, the milk stout was pretty bad. Tasted lots of bitterness in it similar to 100% dark chocolate and even some soapy off flavors in the beer.TLDR: Patio is great, and stick to the lighter beers

Really great local spot off the Monon trail in Carmel. Bartenders were great and venue was super cool. Would have liked a couple more options for beers, but would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking to grab a beer and hangout. Patio is really nice!

Wish I could give 0 stars for this place wasting my time on top of everything else that's bad about it. I was clearly the only non-regular out of about 15 customers. Didn't know there were no servers or food. No one bothered to even explain how the place operated. And c'mon. Not even pretzels at the tables? And you want me to bring my own food? Why don't I bring my own beer too?Thought the place was no smoking, but everyone at the bar was vaping up a storm, including the bartender, which I thought was sad. Can't do your job without stopping to take a puff? I'm glad I didn't drink anything because I wouldn't want exhaled vape residue in my beer. Visited for the comedy show, which started 15 minutes late, with the "talent" sitting there at a table the whole time. NEVER start a show late. Very unprofessional. The comedy was awful and not even up to the standard of a high-quality open mic. My only laugh was from a heckler torturing the headliner and telling him repeatedly how he was not in the slightest bit funny. I thanked her on my way out. There are too many better options in Carmel to ever step foot in this place, unless you really value being able to sit outside with your dog, or you need to hang out at a place "where everybody knows your name."

Great, casual comfortable welcoming place to hang out have a beer connect with people but the beer just OK.

This place needs to change its name it's not a brewery at all it's just a tap room! I went out of my way to visit only to be let down!!! I can drink Founders everywhere in this country
