Part restaurant, part grocery, part creamery, and all convenience. This stop isn't as cute as the place up the road, but it was clean, and the lunch crowd was in full force. Every table was occupied, and they were taking phone orders. If you don't feel like camp food you can walk here easily from the Turkey Run campground. A few Turkey Run souvenirs can be bought here, and the convenience shelves included canned staples, but also a case of local meats. Suddenly we're in a grocery and not a gas station dive. There is no cold beer (sigh, Indiana), but cold drinks at least. The highlight was the ice cream! Even though there's a novelty case for kids who prefer Spider-Man and other gimmicks, we adults beat the heat with dips from a local creamery (Franklin or Frankton?). Praline Pecan and Cherry Amaretto were down home and lived up to their names, and you can level up with a waffle cone. This unassuming stop was surprising. Good watering hole!
