I have been wanting to try this place since I saw that Katina Eats Kilos has done an eating challenge here & I saw it was only 20 mins from me. My husband said he was craving BBQ & I remembered this place! & thank goodness, I did!!!We ordered online for pickup & the estimated time was 45 minutes & it was ready when we got there! We ordered a 1/4 sheet pan with brisket, ribs, & sausage. It comes with pickles, a smaller side of Trax Slaw & Texas toast. We chose mac & cheese and the new charros beans with bacon as our sides. For sauces, we got Old Yeller, Red Hog, & Mccordsville Hot. We got the Smokeshack & Derailed hot sauces too. We added on a side of hush puppies because my husband loves them. We also ordered a side of beer mustard. We checked the containers before we left & we had everything we ordered & a couple of extra sauces we weren't expecting!Once we got home, we tried everything together, starting with the Trax slaw! It was perfectly vinegary & creamy, as well as, nicely seasoned. Next, the mac & cheese! They use my favorite pasta (cavatappi)! The flavor was so good & it was super creamy. The charro beans & bacon has this AMAZING smokey flavor & richness. The beans still had some bite so they made sure they weren't an overcooked mush mess, which we appreciated. The hush puppies had pieces or corn & some kind of pepper (I thought jalapeño, but could've been poblano). It came with this side of gravy, which we weren't expecting. My husband loved these, while hush puppies aren't really my thing, but the gravy dip made them 1000x better for me. The Texas toast was crispy on one side & soft and buttery on the other. It was seasoned great & even better when I dipped it in the hush puppy gravy. Once we got to the meats, we did have to reheat them slightly, but we had a 20 minute car ride home & however long it took for us to try all of the sides before we got to them. That was an our fault thing. No problem a couple of seconds in the microwave can't fix. We started with the sausage, which was cut into bite sized pieces, when we go back, I'm going to request them to not do that. We just prefer to do that ourselves & it honestly didn't affect anything except maybe heat retention. The snap & juiciness of these sausages are INSANE! By themselves, they were the best sausage I've ever had. We then dipped in the beer mustard (we had ordered 1 side & got 2 by mistake) & THIS WAS THE BEST BITE ON THE ENTIRE TRAY!!!! The beer mustard was such a depth of flavors! At first taste, it was sweet, almost like a honey mustard, & then the mustard kick really came through. It wasn't super spicy or anything, but it was just so developed with its flavor profile. The ribs were FALL OFF THE BONE tender. We started plan & LOVED the seasonings & smokey flavor. We then tried with all sauces! Red Hog was my favorite for the ribs, while my husband liked the Mccordsville Hot better. The brisket, we got mixed for our preference, & it was exactly what we asked for. Without sauce, it was buttery and seasoned to the nines! I preferred it with Mccordsville Hot & my husband with Red Hog. For sauces:Unless you're a child or you just really like super sweet BBQ sauces, I wouldn't waste my time with Old Yeller. Red Hog & Mccordsville Hot are equally delicious & pair well with different things depending on preferences of meat & spice levels. Smokeshack was probably the most disappointing part of our meal. We love jalapeño & poblano peppers, as well as hot sauce, but it was just flat out not good. Derailed, however, was delicious & rather spicy, which we both love! If you like spice, you've GOT to try this!!! All & all, this place is AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! The fact that out of everything we ordered, the only things we would've order again are 2 sauces, I think we can live with that. 1000000/10 WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!Thanks Katina Eats Kilos for putting this place on my radar!!!

Visited Trax BBQ in McCordsville for the first time. It is off highway 36, right by the railroad tracks. It is located in a warehouse style building. We ordered the quarter sheet pan. It included three meats, two sides, coleslaw, pickles, and Texas toast for $35. We got the pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. For the sides, we got green beans and cheesy potatoes. The green beans were nicely flavored. The cheesy potatoes were extremely good. It is a customer favorite here. The coleslaw was more sour cream based rather than mayonnaise based. It reminded us of KFC coleslaw. We really liked it. The brisket and the pulled pork were also very good. The ribs were a bit dry, but tasty nonetheless. They have a variety of sauces. We liked the sweet hog. It reminded us of the original sauce at City BBQ. We visit City BBQ frequently. The prices at Trax BBQ are comparable to those at City BBQ. A difference is City BBQ has an app for your phone and is always offering discounts and rewards. We feel the sides at Trax were a little better quality and larger portion than City BBQ. The meat was very comparable. Overall, the 1/4 sheet pan would feed three individuals although the menu says it feeds one to two. The portion size was very ample.Trax is a city favorite around McCordsville. It is a restaurant where you order at a counter, have a seat at a table and then they call your order for pick up. When we arrived around 4:30 PM on a Friday we were only the second table eating. By the time we left the place was full. They even have two lines for people to stand to wait to order. If we are in the area, we will definitely eat here again. However, we would not pass by City BBQ and drive a long way just to eat here. If you are in the area, definitely stop by and give this BBQ a try.

Whoo, this place is good! I ordered a smokehouse plate: 1/2 rack of ribs, two sides and Texas toast for $17, which is a great deal in today's economy.Ribs: Outstanding! Best ribs in the Indy area.Cheesy potatoes: A seasonal side item. Good, but it tasted like they added onions. Get the onions out of there and they would be great.Hush puppies: Mid.Texas toast: Good. Add a little more garlic butter and it would be great.Service: Fantastic. They were terrific.

We just love this place! Placed a carryout order today and everything was perfect. I wish I had her name, but the gal that took my order was fabulous. She was patient while I called home to confirm a side choice, and even noticed I was not able to carry the food out on my own, and offered to carry it to my car in the snow and muck. As usual, the food was on fire. This place does not disappoint. The sauces are spectacular, and their side choices are amazing. Tonight I even ordered their specials of chili with brisket and charro beans with beef short ribs to have tomorrow. They sucked me right in with that written on the sign! The hush puppies...OMG. Get these and dip them in spicy bbq sauce. You're welcome!

Stoped by on Sunday and the place was empty. I studied the menu for a while and decided to go for the brisket sandwich. Then I saw the special with a corn chowder and brisket sandwich. It came out super fast and was hot and fresh. Texas toast on the sandwich was hot and crispy. Really surprising how a place in McCordsville can make barbecue this good. The corn chowder was fresh, hot, and delicious. Lots of flavor.Several styles of sauce to choose from- guaranteed you will like one or more!I will definitely be back.

I've heard so many amazing and rave reviews of this place. It had been on our radar for a while. We went on a Saturday night at 8pm. They were pretty busy. Staff at the counter tell us it's a 40 minute wait, they're out of ribs, baked beans and their soda machine is broken. We should have left and came back a different night. But like I said, I had been wanting to try this place for a while! The brisket was dry and I was hugely disappointed by this. The pulled pork was good. Beer cheese was fantastic. The sides were fine. Nothing really wowed me. I just thought everything was middle of the road. Atmosphere was good. Lighting was good as well. They have ample seating.

Love Trax' brisket & ribs!! Made perfect every time & a great assortment of sauces to go along with them (if that's your thing)! My wife got the Pulled Pork Nachos and loved those also! Their sides are good & give that home cooked feeling, but like most places some days are better than others. But don't let that stop you from their Mac n cheese which hasn't missed yet! However, I personally am not a fan of their baked beans only because I prefer them sweeter and thicker. Service can take a little long sometimes but that's because it can get REALLY busy, especially on weekends! So if you go, plan to hangout for a bit. Also, if it's hot out plan to sweat as it can get hot inside sometimes, and especially if eating at the tables outside!DEFINITELY get their Bread Pudding (which feeds more like a cake to me) because it's delicious & has seasonal flavors... as well as their chocolate brownie! Both come with ice cream

A++ bbq outside of Indy! Brisket and ribs are top notch. The nachos are top 3 in the surrounding areas in my opinion! Just the perfect amount of toppings. Don't skip the bread budding of the month either! Yum.Parking is either infront or across the road and you can seat inside or outside on the picnic tables.
