Tomo Japanese Restaurant

Always a treat! The sushi is wonderful and the service is exceptional! Our server remembers what we like even when we have not been here for several months. This is a hidden treasure that is close to home. A real family favorite. Try the tiger in trouble roll!

Decided to have sushi for Saturday lunch. We had shopping to do so we chose Tomo because it is close to Kroger We were the first guest to enter and were greeted by a young Chinese staff member She was very bubbly and double checked our order without placing it We order two nigiri with shrimp and 4 tuna nigiri. We also soft shell crab roll The shrimp was fine The tuna was awful. It was some kind of greasy soft tuna that came from the head. We immediately said we were dissatisfied but she continued to tell us it was a what a lot of people asked for. My sweet husband ate it. YukThe soft shell crab roll had lettuce and other added ingredients not normally found in a crab rollWe also ordered tempura shrimp. It was just okWe have in the past said we would not go back. This time synched it

The food is good and there is a pretty cool water fall. The severs are also nice and get your food to you on time.

Japanese food is on my top 5 list of favorite food groups, I just find it all tasty and interesting. I was craving sushi in the worst way. So I found tomo Japanese restaurant, and decided to place a delivery order.For a starter I decided to get crab Rangoon, it's one of my favorite apps, and the orangey dipping sauce.For sushi rolls I got the rainbow roll, I like to try them all over because I love the variety of the cuts of fish that it comes with.I also got the spicy tuna roll, it was tasty and fresh!! With just the right amount of spice.To round it out, I also got 2 pieces of flying fish roe, it too was tasty. Loved all of my food! Can't wait to visit their physical location.

Tomo is fine, but it is definitely different when you are served food from the back instead of being at a hibachi table. We sat at regular table because hibachi tables were booked. We could get the same meals for the most part but I could tell they cooked the food ahead of time and wait for people to order. My meat and vegetables were just luke warm and my rice was actually on the cold side. Our waiter was very nice. Previously we were at a hibachi table where the food is cooked in front of you, and it was good. Suggestion - if going - make a reservation and make sure it's for a hibachi table. This is a very small restaurant so tables fill quickly.

Service was wonderful, food was good, prices fair. Just a heads up - all hibachi dishes are cooked back in the kitchen, so do you're looking for that, try the other Tomo location.

We've ordered take-out via delivery service from Tomo twice now. We've been very pleased with the taste, quality, and timeliness both times. For our most recent order, we opted for the chicken hibachi dinner, chicken yaki udon noodles and ahi tower entree. All were packaged nicely and tasted delicious! Tomo is definitely our local go-to now for Japanese cuisine. :)

Amazing food and service, one of all my all time favs in the Fisher area! Even give discount cards for your next visit!

Miso soup was bad as the tofu was itty bitty bits & have never seen tofu rationed like this, like apocalypse now?!?...chirashi & sashimi deluxe was as if chef used a razor blade to slice slivers, not worth it at all...go to krogers next door get better portions for 1/3 cost

I ordered Chirashi for the first time. They used old rice probably in the refrigerated over night. It was dried out and very small amount of rice for that price. Fish were so so, all ordinary items. No expensive piece at all like salmon roe or sea shell for the decoration of top of chicrashi. Not authentic Japanese sushi at all. My husband liked Hibachi chicken. So, not to order sushi item, order cooked food.
