Doesn't get better than this, best dive bar in Muncie. By a long shot. Good food, good service, good atmosphere. And a badass Paul Bunyan statch. 10/10

Drove across town to eat here based on good reviews. Were immediately asked to leave upon entry because they're supposedly 21+ and we had two 12 year olds with us. No signage saying it. No reviews mention it. Their website doesn't say a peep about it. Don't take your kids apparently, they're not allowed despite it not being posted anywhere.

Been coming to Timbers since college. Came back today after a while. Bartenders were always friendly. Not today though. Whoever has short brown hair is awfully rude. I asked if I could have a shot and she said "I don't know, can you?". I bartend, so this really pissed me off. I tipped her, 30% on my tab, because I don't believe in garnishing wages, but damn. Ordered a Kennedy to go, still an amazing sandwich.

I was looking for a breakfast location at 8:15 am. Although it said it was a open, it was not. Doesn't open for hours later. I doubt they serve breakfast. I'm Completely pissed off.

I had a chicken sandwich and it was quite exceptional. Now this is how bar cooking should be. The sandwich I had bursted with flavor. The bun was perfectly toasted and the chicken bursted with flavor. One might think this is a stereotypical dingy bar and you wouldn't be wrong. BUT! This is a dingy bar with excellent food. Bars always make good food and this one is exceptional. The only thing wrong is the parking lot could use patchwork.This place could be worthy of being an elite 5 star badass place to go. I recommend going here, I have high standards and the food met my standards nicely.

A dive bar that serves Greek egg rolls? Yes, the giant lumberjack statue outside might not signal culinary creativity... but maybe it should.Of course, if you want cheap beer, this is your go-to. It also has the classics-burgers, fries, nachos, steaks, and actually, a pretty solid Hoosier pork tenderloin. As I'm sure you've guessed, it isn't fancy, don't expect to eat off of china and linen... but their cook does do some interesting stuff. The aforementioned Greek egg rolls were actually pretty good, an egg roll with ground beef, feta cheese, and spinach. I could have done without the wasabi sauce to go on it though...It's not big on windows, so you could be in there for hours--all day--and have no idea how much time has passed. This former blue collar bar (the factory is long since closed), is a great place to grab lunch or cheap drinks... be ready to shoot the breeze with old timers.

It's the most Muncie place in Muncie. The best fried mushrooms I've ever had! I started to say "if we ever come here for a drink we should order the mushrooms" but corrected myself and said "if we ever come here for fried mushrooms we should have a drink too"! Amazingly low prices. Kandy, the waitress, is super friendly!If you've always just driven past this Muncie landmark you should do yourself a favor and stop in for dinner!

Had a great dinner there last night. Had a large party with a lots of variety and everyone left happy. I think the steaks and prime rib were the best but the crab legs, liver & onions and other items were a hit as well. We went early and there was no wait at 5:30 but there was a wait when we left around 7pm. Service was excellent and the prices ever reasonable. If you are in the area I would suggest you try it....you won't be disappointed.

I like to try restaurants I haven't ever been to, and yesterday Timbers was my choice. Great meal, didn't break the bank, and atmosphere cozy and comfortable-felt welcomed & comfortable. Looking forward to bringing my daughter as she would love it also.

I don't usually give 5 stars on my review. This is a great place for food - I had an omelette- loaded omelette. Rich and tasty- I need to play 1 hour Tennis to burn it off :( I give extra points for being nice to out of towner. I may come back for lunch or dinner.
