I felt the urgent need to buy a tortilla press and I see this place often driving down Washington, finally got a chance to shop here. Pretty standard Mexican market, all the essentials - deli, even $1 tacos. Very positive vibes here and everything was in good order. Excited to come back every time I need something very specific.

I really want to give this place a better review. I have been to the south side, the Pendleton pike, and Allisonville location and this one just lacks a lot. Their produce section is never full, it looks like they are always waiting on shipments and therefore the quality of the produce isn't the best.I never get sandwich bread, because it's always almost expired. Like today is July 1, and the bread they had expired either yesterday or the 4th. So no.And their meat selection is smaller. A pet peeve is when the store closes in an hour and a half, but they have already cleaned their tools. So you have to wait 20 mins to order meat.Prices are a bit higher than your typical store. Which is to be expected since this is a small business that specializes in a kind of groceries.Overall, I keep going back when I need ingredients for just one meal and continuously leave without everything I need. I wish they were better - so it'd be convenient. Overall

One of my favorite Irvington places. Lots of good, authentic staple items and on weekends they have a nice assortment of prepared foods for carry out. Carnitas, chicken, whole fish, ceviche, cocktail and other goodies. Prices are very reasonable and quality good.

While I am a big fan of Tienda Morelos, this location is not my favorite. And by not my favorite, I mean it ranks low on my list. It's a small space, so it offers less. In appearance, it isn't as well maintained as some of the others. They seem to consistently be out of product or just don't have it. They only seem to ever have Milagro tortillas. Naturally, for different reasons, I don't want Milagro. Other locations have more than one brand. When I asked lady working about it, she told me they carry other, but they are just out. Well, then they are out every time I go in there which means they aren't keeping stocked to meet demand. Their produce is hit or miss. At times, I've gone in to get chiles, limes, tomatoes, etc.; and the chiles are scarred up or withered, the limes are dry or discolored, and the tomatoes are pink and mealy. The pan dulce is reduced to a very small selection in a counter top case and often seems to be old and dry. The expediency of service is average, but it lacks friendliness. On the upside, they do typically offer the prepared specialty foods on the weekends. How much they have and what they have varies depending on the weekend. Also, in this area of Indy, tiendas are far and few between, so they fill a need for that area. I think in previous years, I would have given it a higher rating, but I think I've watched it decline; and for a Tienda Morelos, it could use some improvement.

This is my Tienda Morelos of choice. I always ask myslef, "Why don't I come here more often?!" It's not convenient, and it's not top-of-mind, but you can't beat the authenticity! Buyer's resolution? Shop here more often!

I always try Tienda Morelos when I need something before heading over to the drugstore next door and they usually have what I'm looking for at a good price. Tacos, menudo, and other goodies are available on the weekends.

I love this local grocery store. Not sure what to get if you're in the area and need an amazing dinner? Let me help!One- they have a local baker who brings in fresh baked breads on the daily. So reasonably priced, so so good.Two- they always have an abundance of ripe avocados. Even when nowhere else does. Three- they have pre-mixed steaks fajita meat, and chicken fajita meat, that is pretty dang good.Four- swing by the refrigerated food, grab some quesadilla cheese for when you're making quesadillas (it makes a difference, trust me)Five- while you're other there, grab a roll of chorizo and fry it up with some eggs the next day and then throw it all on a Tortilla. Game changer.Great little local grocery store that serves a niche market very well!
