This is a fun brewery that is easy to overlook as you're walking around the area but certainly is a place to stop in.Not only are there a variety of beers on tap to try but they have cocktails that are unique and delicious. The historical pieces all over the bar walls mixed with the dollar bills on the ceiling from patrons, give you entertainment for the entire time you're there. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend - cheers!

A friend recommended that we meet here for a beer. I arrived first (mid afternoon) and I was the only person in the place. The decor is features the history of the brewery that was a fixture in the early days of Lafayette. The descendants of the original owners are operating its revival today. Although the place is small, it feels cozy and comfortable. The bartender made a great recommendation provided a taste test. I got the Christmas Chocolate Stout. All I can say about this draft is WOW WOW WOW! So smooth and velvety! I've been telling everyone about it, and I might go get a growler for home. There is a food and appetizer menu, and limited cocktails are available. I will be back someday to try the food and will report on that later. Thieme & Wagner are a great addition to the downtown pub scene and worth a visit.

Not especially welcoming when I went. Beer was fine, not anything to really mention. Maybe I just caught this tiny place at the wrong moment.

Great spot with great history. Owner/brewer was friendly and shared much of the family brewing history. We sampled and purchased a couple of superb IPAs. Awesome place with excellent brews. We'll definitely return!

I met this very kind and young, old soul, his name was Zach. He inspired me and I think I may have inspired him on his walk of life, we spoke of spirits and IPAs and we even spoke about our strength in our faith in the Lord. He shared a little bit of his story and I shared mine and although his page is about to turn and he's going to be traveling on something else, I'll be back. The energy was great in their and it looked really nice. They had a lot of historical pictures and some funny pictures as well. Maybe something Facebook would make a mean out of. I normally do, but I decided not to eat, I was their strictly to taste the IPAs and he ended up giving me their signature German inspired IPA. Zach tells me it's a crowd favorite and I can see why. Can't remember the name, even being part German, but the whiskey he served on the rocks was just the first place I'll hit tonight. Live to prosper. That bartender is going places, strive to inspire, everyone. Happy Memorial Day and enjoy this time with the Lord and family.

I'm a fan of family owned generational small businesses. Thieme & Wagner is a classic example. That said, there is plenty of room for improvement. The food was limited, and honestly not very impressive. The burgers were adequate, though fries cost an extra $3. The sausage and cheese app looked to be straight off of a grocery store shelf. The beers were the highlight, though. We appreciate the availability of a beer flight. The beers were decent but nothing exceptional.

Nice little brewery nestled downtown on Main Street. Decent selection of original beers, but they also offer beers other than their own breweries. They have a craft cocktail menu as well. Flights can include just beer, or you can even add two of their speciality cocktails to the flight for an extra charge. The bartender when I was there was very friendly and conversational. One of the owners was there as well, but he was less than friendly. Never said hello or anything despite me being the only customer in there at the time and I was sitting at the bar right in front of him. I had also made a point of saying that it was my first time and I was going to post a Yelp review.

Fun little tiny tidy hole in the downtown good eats strip offering a cozy old fashioned atmosphere and basic menu items custom to a small brewery. I sampled a few though the bartender seemed a bit drunkenly distracted with some youthful ones at the bar wasn't waiting too long but felt like I was interrupting a friend click putting forth my growler to fill up. Went with a basic stout on tap and enjoyed a good price for the fill up, doesn't campare to Escape Velocity's award winning Magnificent Desolation but very easy to enjoy. There's great classic pub vibes here I could see enjoying with a handful into the night as the hours are more suitable than others. Will need to sample the food too!

Brian and his family created a real gem with the bar front. I always enjoy stopping in for a beer, whether it's Tuesday's Champaign Velvet special or one of the House beers. The vibe is historical hipster in my view, with some old school community connections tying things together. There's lots of memorabilia on the wall and in display cases. The pretzels are free and the bathroom is clean. The beers are good and the conversation and hospitality are even better. I enjoy T&W every time I visit.

Never been here! What a neat little brewery loaded with history! Owner is Fantastic! I tried the classic BLT and it was delicious on a pretzel bun. The ice tea has a nice orange kick to it! Definitely be back!
