The Yummy Crab

Have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and we finally made it. Not fancy but really cute and decorated fun. We both had dinners with shrimp and crab. Everything is boiled and the seasoning is amazing! Seafood was very good and the sides ( corn and red potatoes) were yummy. Our serve was extremely nice and attentive. Looking forward to going back

Listen your give me Wrong order and the food is not good and I order snow card shrimps and potato and corn in then the sauce is not good

It was just ok. The service was slow, there was only one waitress in the whole place. It took a while to get our food and it was salty when we got it. We asked for everything to come out together and it didn't. In her defense, our waitress was the only person I saw serving the whole time we were there. I probably wouldn't return, but it was not the worst experience I've ever had.

We stopped in this past weekend while waiting to head to my son's basketball tournament. We were first!!! We love seafood and let me tell you it was delicious. If this spot was back home it would be packed! Prices were excellent. They had a 2 item combo for $23. That was a great meal. The seasoning is flavorful and everything was cooked to perfection. Prompt service and a nice environment. We are coming back this weekend so I'll be getting this again.

Third "boil style" restaurant I've been to Indy in the last 3 months! I cant get enough seafood lately. Yummy Crab is in a popular area but a low key location with plenty of parking. I actually frequented this place when it was called Fujiyama. Not sure if it's the same owners though...hmm. Our service was OK, we were greeted and seated right away as we were the only people there. Our server Anauntica wasn't very personable, but she was not rude either! Just very blah. We ordered the Calamari as an appetizer, it came out perfectly fried with a side of cocktail sauce. Despite how perfect it looked the calamari was extremely bland. Like no flavor, whatsoever. My lb of shrimp came out shortly after, and I was just as disappointed as I was with the calamari. The shrimp was juicy, and big, and cooked perfectly. But nothing had any flavor?!?!! It was literally shrimp, potatoes, and corn in garlic and butter sauce. My friend ordered crawfish and shrimp w the Yummy Special and his was the exact same.I was really rooting for Yummy Crab, I live so close and the prices are so reasonable! The food was not nasty or bad, as I stated before- my shrimp were big and juicy. And the amount served in my bag was plenty! I would've easily given this place 4-5 stars if the food were seasoned properly. I will be back to Yummy Crab, just not any time soon.

Highly disappointed in the taste, quality, and service of this place. I ordered the two item combo, snow crab with headless shrimp, and added smoked sausage. Seasoning choice was Yummy Special which states all of the above; assuming it was Cajun, and garlic butter possibly lemon pepper too.The crab was fine but I felt the shrimp were a bit under cooked..the texture was slightly off putting. The Yummy Special seasoning left a lot to be desired. The garlic butter was a slap in the face..and that's saying a lot because I love garlic. The most disappointing part of the meal was the smoked sausage. The sausage was water logged..mushy mushy mushy. It would've been better if the sausage was seared before putting it in the boil bag. I did take the sausage home and crisped it up in a pan, didn't want to waste the $4 spent on it! I also took the shrimp home to cook them more.Lastly, the service was meh. Our server took our order, brought our food, then the bill, and never returned. We finally got her attention to get to go boxes but she quickly walked away before I could ask her for a refill. We did linger for a bit hoping to get a water or tea to go, that never happened. Side notes:When walking to the restroom there was an odd sour odor..not good. There's a sign that states no lunch specials at all but they provide a menu that lists lunch specials. What's up with that? Confused

Let's acknowledge that the seafood here is by far some of the best seafood. The seafood is fresh and it's good in size. I got 1 lb. snow crab legs, 1/2 lb. of shrimp head off and head on, no corn, only potatoes! Seasoned in the yummy special extra hot. Amazing! Great butter, and awesome fresh garlic. The only caveat I experienced was the portions of the shrimp. There were like 6-8 pieces of each, which I know from other experiences don't amount to 1/2 lb. Thankfully for me, I enjoy the potatoes in my seafood boils and there were plenty of them! So that made up for the lack of shrimp. I will definitely visit The Yummy Crab again! The host was very pleasant too!

I was pleasantly surprised..... it was delicious! I've been to more seafood boil restaurants here in Indy than I'd like to admit. Ha! A girl friend and I decided to grab lunch last Saturday there and boy- I was super surprised at the quality of the seafood and portions. We each got the shrimp and crab leg combo for $21.99. Well worth it and much cheaper than a few others I've been to. The sauce was actual butter (thank goodness) and the heat was perfect. The only downer was the spring rolls - skip those babies. Must of been frozen then flash fried. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful when deciding our best bang for our buck. Highly recommend as the better boil option for the east side.

Ordered take out a couple weeks ago. This place is bomb!! I'll be coming back for sure

So delicious! The garlic lemon butter is such a great flavor. Everything was cooked to perfection - the crab, eggs, potatoes, and sausage. I normally don't eat leftovers, but I made sure to eat every single bite. I will definitely be ordering from here again.
