Great book store with a great location. I came here looking for a couple of books. I found what I wanted. One of the workers also recommended me some further reading based on one of the books I was buying. I really appreciate that. Finally the price is pretty standard for a book shop.This is a great shop with good workers who can help you find the books you want and recommend more.

What a gem! I'm so thrilled to have found a new secondhand bookstore that actually has an exchange program (so rare, anymore). The staff here is just incredible, very knowledgeable, kind, generous. They have an amazing selection. Now I'm just trying to gather the courage to join one of their many book clubs!

A very cute store with a medium selection. Focuses mostly on newer prints but they have a small shelf of free books and lots of staff recommendations.

The Whispering Shelf is a new little gem right outside downtown and just south of Mass Ave, tucked away in a magical brick road old neighborhood. The atmosphere is chill and you are allowed space to shop and browse. There are giant floor cushions to plop in front of a shelf to look at and dig. The service is chill but helpful. They have almost every book and genre you could imagine but also a free book bookshelf for those low on coin. They may not have the top deals for books but I prefer this as I like to know publishers and writers are getting appropriate funds for their hard work.The patio is outfitted with tables and umbrellas and all are welcome to sit and read and sip away. They also have an excellent children's section and plenty of space for kiddos to be active on their own.

This is a beautiful, quiet space with a great selection of fiction, non-fiction, and children's books. There are a couple of inviting armchairs to sit down and read in while you sip some tea (self-service) in a beautifully lit spot. They mostly had new books, although I did see a few used ones as well.

Enjoyed my initial visit to The Whispering Shelf. The store feels spacious and airy and the aisles don't feel cramped. There is some sofa seating by the register and a garage door opening to bring in natural light and fresh air. A few seats are also available facing the street. The overall ambiance feels comfortable for the book browsing experience.During my soft opening visit, the store was still awaiting a book order to fill its shelves. Once they are fully stocked I would imagine they will have the titles you are looking for. It takes a minute to get yourself oriented and figure out where specific book subjects are located. But once you figure out the layout you should be able to finds things easier.

The space is beautiful and the store houses a fantastic selection of books. Workers are super friendly and helpful with book suggestions .

I spent about 45 minutes here in between appointments. Lovely owner and the space was so beautiful. I enjoyed browsing and still had more to browse! I purchased 5 books from the Indy sections (fiction and non-fiction) because I couldn't settle on just one or two. I felt like they had a very wide range of genres, themes, and prices. Excited to return!

Not only is this bookstore full of wondrous books, but it's also full of knowledgeable, personable employees who are passionate about reading. I was able to shop around, purchase, and even sit and read.I appreciate how there's every genre under the sun, and how they highlight Indiana authors.All of the books I purchased were regular prices, but that was expected and didn't stop me from purchasing 6. They also have free books outside of the store.It's a true gem for bookworms.

Had the opportunity to check out the soft opening and I love this place already! So excited for the official opening day this weekend, and v happy to have yet another local bookstore here in Indy.Selection was *chef's kiss*, space was large with a ton of light. I walked out with a book that's been on my TBR list for a while. Hoping to visit again and I hope this becomes a spot where communities (book clubs, individual readers, etc.) can gather and socialize!
