If you love a little hole in the wall that serves great comfort food, then try The Vintage Cafe. We learned about the cafe on Yelp. When we drove up we were uncertain as it was a little gray building among other storage buildings. But there were about 50 cars surrounding the building. Good sign. Let me be clear, this is not upscale or trendy, but salt of the earth. There was a short line for tables. The place was hopping. The walls were covered with images of Hollywood stars. Many handwritten signs and boards described deserts, specials and featured items. We found seats within 15 minutes. The menu is filled with breakfast and lunch items that are served all day. There are quirky fun items such as sauerkraut balls (which are hand made), pickle fries and stuffed tater tots. The Memorial Day special lunch included a hot dog, hamburger slider, watermelon and a side for $8.99. The slider and watermelon called out to me. When the plate came, I wasn't expecting so much food. The slider was amazing. There were 2 smash burger patties on a nice bun with cheese, sauce and pickle. The slider was good. The slice of watermelon was massive, refreshing and fun. The homemade coleslaw is creamy and delicious. My husband ordered the Breaded Tenderloin. OMG, that tenderloin was about twelve inches in diameter and came with a large roll that dwarfed the pork. The pork was thick with a great peppery breading. He only ate half and took the rest home. We shared an order of the stuffed tater tots that were filled with potato, jalapeño, onion and cheese. Oh man, those are addictive. As we were finishing up, the owner of the restaurant approached our table. Kate Rhine has been owner/cook of The Vintage Cafe for four years. She's been a home cook since she was in fourth grade. She was cheerful and wanted to know how I liked the Memorial Day Special since I was the first to order. I loved the meal. the burger was great and watermelon and coleslaw refreshing. The hot dog was going home with us. Our server, Felicia, was great. She helped describe the menu, was attentive, super friendly and kept water glasses full. Even the fella bussing the tables was amazing and friendly. It was clear these folks were hustling to keep up with the crowd. This cafe is fun and delicious. I can't wait to go back. Thanks, YELP reviewers for leading the way.

Wouldn't really recommend coming here. Waiters don't check in on you and take forever to give checks.

Definite a locals place and sometimes the locals occupy all the tables and are too pigheaded to move . For food try the lumberjack breakfast.

I stopped the review prematurely. The service was good and attentive. I think I mentioned the Florentine omelet it contained spinach and mushrooms and bacon. It was well cooked and good. My husband had the country-fried steak on biscuits with I think cheese and his eggs to the side. I tasted it and it too was very good. I think I posted a picture of his tomato juice it was large not those little juice glasses a full-size soda glass juice. My husband doesn't drink wine but he can tell you about different tomato juices lol and this he declared was red gold and very good. The negative. When you pull up to the place it looks like it once was, a dive bar. Deep dive. It is surrounded by a mess, not their mess but a mess. The parking is just a dirt area. The building looks like a big old trailer and if I hadn't seen inside pictures I wouldn't have gone in. The inside is rough also. A painted concrete floor that sort of thing. However, our booth was clean the menus were also. That's no small thing in a very busy restaurant that serves pancakes. Everything else like the dishes and cups wasn't worn or chipped. Very odd lol but I am going back to try another breakfast.

Always super nice service from the waitress. They are always busy, because they are great at what they do and the prices are cheap. The portions are large and the food is always served fresh and hot. The menu is diverse and has something for everyone. Parking may be hard to find a spot but don't fret, it's worth it. The interior wall is super cool and always fun to check out.

My 11 year old daughter gives the following review, "five stars. Good double fried fries. Burger was slightly dry but still good. A little bit too many onions on the burger. They gave me a ton of Dr. Pepper, which I loved. They were very nice. The decorations were very nice too and beautiful to the eye of the beholder. Bathroom was slightly dark and needed a different colored lightbulb, but the toilet was very clean and warm. Soap made my fingers feel nice. By the way, I washed my hands for 30 seconds. Chairs and the booth were also very comfortable and very warm. Overall, I had an amazing experience at this diner."This is my review: the chicken fiesta quesadilla was tasty, the server was awesome and I love diners so this was overall a good time and I'd eat here again if I were in the area.

Friendly and unique local place. Down home food for reasonable prices. Interesting decor and definitely a "local" place if you're in the area. We came in a Sunday morning and it took 30 min at least to get our food. We weren't in a hurry but it felt long, so if you don't have a lot of time you won't want to come during a busy time. They were apologetic and the kitchen was busy.
