The Speak Easy

A pretty good co-working space. Great wifi, coffee, and overall vibe. It is a big open space to work in, and a bit more quiet up in the loft. Good active Slack channel for members too. The breakout rooms and conference room are handy.Knocked off a point because: a couple of members have long loud video chats in the common space (not cool), and they seem oblivious to those around them (and as far as I can tell, mgmt does not clue them in to go move their calls to a room). Also, too many days where the space is completely closed to members.

This is such a great space!I don't have a membership, so I'm writing from the event space perspective. This facility has a great rustic/industrial vibe, and is perfect for small to midsized events. Thoughtful consideration has been given to the design and the space is both roomy and intimate. The wood tables, comfortable variety of seating, and design accents just WORK. There's a really cute loft that could be used for a VIP area, staging space, or simply expanded space for event guests. The bar area is perfectly sized, and the conference room space makes a perfect prep kitchen. Overall score 12/10, would recommend

Rating based on a wedding we attended.Friends used this facility for both their wedding and the reception. It is such a cool, beautiful venue. The inside has the old brick exposed with the wood rafters, just a great ambiance for a wedding. The size is smaller inside, so this was a small (close family and friends) wedding. I would recommend folks check out this facility for events!

I attended a wedding for two of my best friends at The Speak Easy. It was a great space and perfect venue for my friends' small wedding/reception. I definitely recommend this awesome spot!

Kind of a hidden gem and a lovely space to have a corporate party. The interior was cozy and the staff was nice, plus it's located at the heart of Broad Ripple. Easily fits 60-80 people.

I'm reviewing the Speak Easy as an event venue, and it's a beaut. The space is an interesting layering of history, with exposed brick, industrial frames, and Corinthian columns, all muddled together. It makes for a lovely mixed-used venue, and I happened to be their for a storytelling event. Even when the space is beyond capacity, it doesn't manage to feel too crowded, and the acoustics hold strong even when it's pretty cozy.My only qualm is that there was loud maintenance work going on upstairs during the storytelling event. Since there's basically no ceilings, it made it hard to hear the speakers for such a quiet event. This is probably par for the course in a coworking space, with the right hand not talking to the left, but seemed completely avoidable with proper management.

This is an excellent co-working space! I don't like being in a completely silent office, and clearly others feel the same. This space opened just a few months ago but already has so much character and nooks to work in. They have a full kitchen space, event space, classroom, board room...all free for members to use! Considering this is just two blocks south of Monument Circle in Downtown Indy, that is an exceptional benefit. PLUS, you can use your virtual key at the Broad Ripple location and in the Outpost network (being developed). There are plenty of chair and couch options and so far it hasn't been crowded at all.

I went for a meeting which was my first time. I love the place. Modern huge co-working space. I had no idea what this space was but pleasantly surprised. I inquired about the space in the meeting I had that was a bit off topic. Needless to say I'll be renting a space here in the near future. Loved it!

We rented this venue out for our wedding reception. It was very nice. The company was good to deal with until after the event. We literally cleaned everything up inside and left it in good condition. Apparently we left a pallet and tarp outside the building. An empty pallet mind you. So some wood and a piece of plastic and we received a nasty email about going back and cleaning it. Not a problem, went back and walked it 20 ft to the dumpster. The nasty email was a bit much. They could have handled that better with a little politeness. It was a minor oversite, and you would have thought we left the facility a disaster. Very unprofessional.
