The Sixpence

I was here for a wedding and it's an absolutely gorgeous venue! I live in Indy so it is a bit of a drive but the location gives you a nice, quiet, outdoor wedding experience.Because I was only a guest at the wedding I can't really say how the booking and planning of things went but the bride was very happy. :)There are huge screens in the venue which they used to display the table numbers and seating. I would say the venue was big enough to hold about 200 seated and still have room for a DJ, dance floor, bar, and buffet style catering. The food was great although again I don't know if it was catered out or part of the venue. The bar staff was excellent and I am pretty sure they came with the venue :)There was a space for the bride to get dressed plus an upstairs space where they put a Photo Booth for pics. The actual ceremony was help outdoors and like I said it's surrounded by greenery to make some gorgeous pictures. There's some seating outside under a patio awning space plus a seated swing which I enjoyed sitting on waiting for guests to arrive (I was early). I would say if you are looking for a more remote wedding location and want outdoors but the wedding inside.....check this place out!

This is a beautiful barn-style event space! We attended an event here and were impressed by the high ceilings, the ample amount of parking space, and the size of the bar (definitely enough space for 3 people to be bartending). The Espresso Martinis were made fresh with an onsite Nespresso. Yum! Definitely worth checking out the venue space for your next event. We also thought it was awesome that there was a "homestead" for folks to rent out for wedding weekends.I will say, it can be hard to hear with the acoustics of the building. If you have a lively bunch, it may be challenging to hear speaches/announcements (at least from where we were sitting).

Don't waste a second longer not booking Shelby, Amavi Weddings, and/or The Sixpence for your wedding!! Shelby was my photographer for my wedding, and she was the first vendor I called the day after I got engaged. I had a two year long engagement and it felt like Shelby held my hand and walked me through it the entire way by making sure she answered every small or big question I had, making me feel prioritized despite the 10,000 other jobs and clients she had, and of course, making my husband and I feel comfortable and secure. She truly is an expert in this industry and is the best of the best. She's not only a photographer on your big day, but also your hype girl, "let me fix your hair" girl, and more. She sticks to timelines and shot lists but knows how to adapt if something doesn't go accordingly to plan. She pours her heart into her work and it shows. I didn't get married at The Sixpence but I've visited multiple times and it is STUNNING, has everything you need, and is quite literally tailored to be a wedding venue. Some venues lack important details such as enough space in a bridal suite, accommodations nearby for out of town guests, outdoor spaces that fit an aesthetic, etc., but The Sixpence checks off every box and more. Trust me - book her/the venue NOW before it's too late!!

I ADORE this venue. I've worked here twice as a Live Wedding Artist. The staff is extremely prompt, professional, superior food to match the service and the cocktails are perfection.
