What a quiet & intimate gem here! We stopped in around 6 and were promptly sat - our server David took great care of us! The food & drinks did not disappoint, we can't wait to try other items!I did not get a pic of our salad and bread & butter plate - it was devoured!

I'm visiting from Sacramento and I found the bartender to be ungracious and unwelcoming. I walked in with my friend after doing a group art walk downtown and we were told by the bartender there were no seats even though plenty were visible and the bar was nearly empty. Guess he did not feel we deserved a seat at TP-P. I encourage the owners of TP to take a vacation to the West Coast where you will find an eclectic mix of dress from business casual to formal to hikers all dining at upscale restaurants side by side. To the credit of the other patrons they didn't seem to mind that we had walked in and in fact some looked happy to see us.But it's ok we took our business to Mass Ave. because you had no seats for us ;)

Top Notch! Dinner special rotates daily and is typically fantastic. Staff is great and if you're around late night you can try to find the speakeasy.

Vegetarians / vegans: look elsewhere. You've got one or two options for lunch that are your typical salad or soup, so it's not really worth the money to come here for lunch. My two options for lunch time as a vegetarian were: tofu and tomato salad (snooze) or tomato basil soup. I went with the salad as it was a summer day. It's some grilled lettuce, diced cucumbers and cherry tomatoes, and some tofu with your choice of dressing. Super a-okay, basic. Would love to visit again if they up their amount of vegetarian options, but as of now, it's just nothing to be impressed about. I do love that they kept a lot of the Elbow Room signage and paid homage to the previous restaurant. The interior and the design changes were great, but not enough for me to want to come back for more.

We came here for a birthday dinner where we were all in the back room. The serving staff was very nice, but it seemed like they needed one more person to be working. Our food came out a bit slowly and some of our orders were wrong (they remade it so it was correct), but once we did have our food it was amazing. The Mac and cheese seemed like the way to go- you can get it with different proteins on top and it tasted amazing. I got a grain bowl which was also very good. They had a nice selection of drinks, some of which I had never seen before which was cool. Nice location and great view of the park and sales force tower. Will go again with a smaller group to try some other things!

Flat Iron is heaven. It's like a home-cooked meal but 100x better and prettier. Simple ingredients elevated to perfection with no detail spared. The first time I had the opportunity to go here right when it opened, we came for drinks and were welcomed graciously by the staff with complementary chips and queso. PHENOM. And you could tell how proud the chef was to serve his food. The second time was tonight. And boy, Flat Iron did not disappoint. The waitstaff is extremely attentive and enthusiastic without being too intense and gave us some delicious recommendations. We started with the berry salad with citrus vinaigrette. It was simple but the perfect way to start the meal. I was shocked by how tasty the strawberries and blueberries were since it's February and they are not in season. Next followed the house bread served with hot butter garnished with parm and fried onion. Sinful. I will be dreaming about this every night for a week. I broke my diet for this carb. But the main course was where it was really at. The pan fried salmon with risotto couldn't be more perfect. It was veggie forward with just the right amount of fat for it to be flavorful without being greasy. And I honestly don't think I've ever had a tastier, fresher risotto. Creamy without being mushy - A+!Our sweet waitress closed our meal with a bite of the espresso torte with berries - divine! Vodka soda pours were also generous. Love this place!! Fresh food, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. This place deserves all the recognition and business it gets!

Very cute atmosphere and awsome food. Bartender was acting a little rude to the staff and having to make our drinks. Seemed very grumpy, but our waitress was very sweet and attentive to our needs. I will come again when Mr. Grumpy pants isn't scheduled :))

I worked at this restaurant for a year and a few months and the owners and staff are some of the greatest people I've ever met. Their food is phenomenal and well priced. The presentation is on point and the foods encourage wellness in the body. The service is great and you can tell that the people there love what they do and where they do it. The team in the back of the house are dedicated and loyal. They are always trying to improve and do better every day. In addition to doing classical American fine dining, they have a lunch service, bar, cigar lounge, and catering. Their catering services are simply the best in all downtown. The foods that they bring forward are of unrivaled quality and deliciousness. If the traditional menu isn't enough for you, they do a heightened winetasting experience that must be scheduled ahead. In this experience, the head chef will make a multiple course dinner that will walk you through his years of experience in cuisine and wine pairing. Whatever you put into this place, you will get back in fantastic experience and love. Definitely give this place a try. Take time in getting to know the flat iron and you will love what you see.
