Hole 2, par 4 with severe slope from right to left of in the fairway
Great day at the iu golf course! Highly recommend.

We tried playing this course a year ago but got rained out and got rain checks. We were able to complete our round and boy were we in for a real treat (slightly sarcastic)! The course was super wet as it had rained for 6 hours the early morning of making it a puzzle to maneuver throughout the course. Regardless of that the course was beautiful and super challenging. We don't know if we'd ever make it back so we played the tips (very challenging) to get the full experience. Boy was it a full experience! We're both long enough but if you're anywhere not in the fairway you are punished, repeatedly. Accuracy is king and hitting fairways is a must. Greens were pretty slow because of the rain, but if they're a little drier I can see them being very fast. Bunkers were compacted and pretty much mud because of the rain. The par 3's were some of the longest par 3's I've ever played. 3/4 we're over 230 yards with 1 being 275! Just insane! Par 4 we're lengthy with most reaching 500. 2 of the par 5's were over 600. Quite a few blind shots so playing previously would help know where to go. Practice facilities were nice which included free range balls. Overall it's a nice course that can be challenging if you're not hitting fairways.

New course appears to still be under construction as the rough is unplayable. Certainly not worth the $95/round as the demand for tee time is overdone. The fairways & greens are very well manicured & the design is challenging. If you are not a scratch handicap then you should not waste your time or money on this course. Hopefully IU will finish the course over the next few months and add GPS video screens which is a minimum expectation for this price range imho.

Played 18 holes here a few weeks ago with fellow Yelper Elliot Belfer. The golf was great, but this is Yelp so we're focusing on the Halfway House. It was incredible, it was one of those "One of everything" places. I got a hot dog, a sausage, a pulled pork sandwich, and a chicken salad sandwich (Honestly if I knew what chicken salad was, I would've left that out). As you can probably tell, the first 9 holes had me STARVING. It was like I was at CARNAGE but instead of wanting water I wanted food. I also asked for a Pepsi, because it looked kind of boujee. Fortunately to my delight, I was hit with a, "Sorry, we only have Coca-Cola products." That's a line that I plan to someday tuck my child into bed with. Sick food + Great Beverages + A little Golf = Lathrop returning.

The putting green is beautiful and the driving range is very nice as well. A bucket of balls is reasonable and offer three different sizes. One of the nicer places I have been.

$50 all you can play until dark during the off-season! Newer course with rolling hills and forest surrounding. Friendly staff. Just wish the cart paths were layed out better so you know where to go when you get close to the green. Paths are only at the tee offs and greens.

Course was in great shape. Need to think about shot you want to hit and where to approach the green. Staff very courteous as well. Can't wait to play it again.
