The Olivia is one of the fancier upscale apartments near downtown Carmel. While I haven't lived in Olivia, I frequent the apartments to visit my family who lives there and it's nothing short of modern and upscale. The apartments work pretty well for single, couples or modern day working people. Pet friendly, weekly events, discounts, free deliveries from Rosie's right below the apartment are some of the many perks the place has to offer. Controlled access and dedicated parking as some extra features. The rent with all of the above is on the higher end and maintenance to a certain extent is covered but the rest does have minimal costs involved. All in all a fairly ok deal.

I have had the best experience living at The Olivia! I love the location- so close to the arts district in Carmel and also near the highway to easily commute and travel. I can always find a parking space, we have a locked room for our packages, and a private gym and pool. They even just opened a little dog park so I can let our dog off leash and safely run around outside. Our apartment is updated and beautiful. You can tell the team works hard- I've found the common areas are always clean and well taken care of. From maintenance, to trash valet, front office managers, and cleaning services- I am so impressed!

I have been out of The Olivia for over two months after finishing out my 1 year lease. I have been in apartment living for over 4 years now and am normally not a nit picky resident that is searching for problems (you know the type). HOWEVER, I can honestly say that I have never been so mortified at where I'm supposed to call "home". The amount of maintenance issues that occurred in my unit, prompting the jerk of a maintenance man, to take numerous visits to my apartment. The HUGE vibration of the HVAC unit on the roof shaking my entire apartment during the winter months. The fact that my 6 month old golden retriever was attacked by TWO different residents' dogs in a matter of 3 months. The parking situation....don't get me started (see other reviews)The fact that the elevator was out of service 75% of my time there. Although, after 5 flights of stairs, an indulgent treat is well deserved The fact that I have been moved out for over 2 months now and have yet to receive my deposit check. You'd think a place advertising as "luxury living" would have the customer service to be right in line with the hip decor and glamorous facade. Well don't let the glitz blind your view of the real picture.I hate being that person, but stay away from this place. If not, you'll wish you had.

Update: another reason, among the abundance of others, to call The Olivia home? When I was a terrible Uncle and forgot batteries for my nephew's Christmas gift, Brittany found a battery and had it delivered to my home. The property and management are so wonderful!

I was here I over the weekend viewing friends. Place looks amazing and seems well designed. However, the quality is lacking. The floors will not absorb any sound and you will hear footsteps from people above you. If they have kids then hope you are a sound sleeper. The windows aren't the greatest and you will hear sounds from the outside. Depending where you are, you might have to walk a bit to the elevators. There is two elevator banks - one in middle of complex and one at main complex. There should be another one at the far end of complex. There is no handicap accessible doors in the parking garage. The apartment complex is nice all in all, but you should make sure these above issues won't affect you, or you won't care how greatly designed the complex is.

This place is amazing! Super friendly and understanding, management is so easy going and willing to help immediately with any issues my partner and I ever had! Far as parking concerns if you park closer to the front where it says The Olivia it's plenty of parking spaces. If you park closer to the restaurants it's kinda hard to find a spot. My overall experience here has been great!!

"Luxury" livingMy family and I lived at The Olivia for 15 months while our house was being built. While looking for a place to live for this small time period, we wanted a place that had amenities, was clean and new, luxurious, and easy. We had lived at Ironworks 5 years ago and absolutely loved it, but there was a waiting list so our search brought us to the Olivia. On our tour, we were impressed with the beautiful lobby, the welcoming smell, the hotel style rooftop pool and model apartment. Overall, our apartment itself was great. Nice appliances, nice light fixtures, nice sized. We love Bar Louie and Verde. We enjoyed the pool area. The maintenance gentleman was extraordinarily helpful and kind. But The Olivia itself was a disappointment. Here's some reasons why:1. Don't be lured in by the lobby! There are TWO small elevators for the entire giant building and majority of the apartments are accessible through the elevator in the parking garage. If you are in the 80% of those apartments, you will never go to the lobby. 2. Least flexible staff ever (besides maintenance). We had a 4 day a week Nanny and asked for an additional key (that we would pay for) and they were unbending. Even though we had an infant. They say you can keep packages in the package room up to a week and that they will help you bring large packages up (they do not) but you will start getting texts far before a week (even if out of town) asking for you to get your packages. 3. Hope you like the smell of Woodstock! We had to invest in plugins to cover up some groovy smells and alerted the staff. No action was taken.4. Transparency: we were unable to see our actual apartment until after we signed the lease. They did not tell us that we were 2 floors directly above the dumpster with the shoot next to my infants sons room. This caused smells and noises....Sunday evening, was a loud night as everyone was throwing away their booze bottles following the weekend. 5. Dog-gone gross. Dog poop, dog fur, dog smell everywhere. Poop got better after I complained, but the elevator is FILLED with dog fur and smell by the end of every day. 6. Parking garage $$$$. You'll need it because it's impossible to find parking in the evening. A reserved spot is $150/mo and not completely enclosed, no discount for both renters having a spot.7. Carts for groceries are often missing8. Fire alarms in which staff knows there's no threat but does not tell us until 20 minutes after it has been going offI give the Olivia 3/5 for the actual apartment but the management was a disappointment for the price point--especially after being spoiled at far less expensive but more lovely Ironworks.

Absolutely horrible place to live! There are a lot of better options in Carmel, this place makes you pay a extra $150 to park in their garage! Unbelievable! The rent is so high it should include parking in the garage! Management is extremely rude!
