Dirty air filter for 2 years causing horrible allergic reactions
The Marott Apartments' Indoor Pool & Hot Tub are frequently closed by the Health Department.

Great staff, great amenities, great pool. Only reason it isn't a 5 Star place to live is their washer and dryer situation. The people at the concierge desk are always helpful in great to talk to.

I have attended a number of luncheons at the Marott building, easily accessible at Meridian St/Fall Creek Parkway.Visitor parking is ample during the workday and the meeting spaces are great. I am always able to hear the speaker and see the audiovisual presentation, and there have never been tech issues. The catering is usually good but not spectacular.

A wonderful apartment complex. I have lived here for 3 years now and couldn't be any happier. Yes it is an older building and yes it will have problems, but they are always quick to fix anything you need in a timely manner.Natalie (Manager) has been a spectacular staff member that has always been so helpful and wonderful to me. She always is very prompt on getting back to me, and is veryyy nice!!The pool and hot tub is always nice indoor and outdoor. I do wish that is was open Monday's as those are the days everyone want to relax haha. But I understand why it's closed for cleaning.I am very happy to live here and would recommend this complex.

My daughter was married here over the weekend. Pipers@The Marott. The hall/atrium has a pond and easily seating for 120. We held the ceremony there then moved to the 1920 decor room for dinner. Buffet was set up in atrium and guests moved efficiently. The food was fantastic and many guests commented how good it was. We had the turkey (might be deep fried) and it was juicy and perfectly cooked. The asparagus bundles were also very good and also pretty according to my daughter. They were staffed appropriately for 85-90 guests. The bar was moved quickly from room to room. The evening was perfect. We brought our own sound system. I don't know if they have one. It's recommended if they don't. My only complaint was our hostesses/arranger transferred duties to the kitchen manager after the couples grand entrance. There were things still to manage and they didn't run as efficiently as earlier. Everything was ready but nobody seemed to be keeping things on task. We ran out of decaf and coffee a few times. No biggie. They were smaller carafes and a couple of tables could empty them. It's a beautiful venue. Recommended.

We had our wedding here in May of 2014. It was absolutely stunning! Kim LaManna made our wedding flawless with her expertise and help. We would highly recommend her and the venue to anyone looking for an exquisite look, with a reasonable budget.

My husband and I were the only residents of Marriott Apartments for only a year, but we loved it! WHY?- Upkeep: Natalie and the management team keep the place in tip top condition. Cleaning of the building is done Monday-Friday and sometimes on Sundays. The hallways are always clean, so are the main areas. Repairs are done in a timely fashion. My husband and I had damage to one of our walls. The work looked like it never happened...and we are not charged for it! It was taken care of in two days; the drywall repair and the painting combined.Same thing with our tub repair, which they fixed the same day we reported it.- Amenities: I loved it here because of the two pools, the gym, holiday parties, and the business area. We used all of these areas faithfully. I loved that I was able to grab free coffee and tea Monday-Friday in the business center. Free printing, two computers, and a large screen tv. The faxed did not work when I tried to use it once. These areas were really helpful to beat cabin fever during the long winter. The area is gated which is a plus. Our cars were never towed, nor was my sister when she parked in the guest overnight lot. - Unit: It was small, but cozy. We loved our space. All the appliances were newer, a full washer and dryer (for rent). Our laundry room was big The floor (3rd) was quiet, which we loved. We never ran out of hot water and I loved the kitchen and bar area which made entertaining fun. We didn't have a view, which was ok. Some other units do. I wish we had thought to be a little higher as we would hear music from the events we had. However, all events end before 1am, so it was never too much of an issue for us. The area is great if you want to live near to downtown, but don't want to pay downtown prices. The Monon Trail is connected is not too far (connects to Fall Creek Trail about 5 mins away). I really enjoy walking the trail from this area to Broad Ripple in the summer. Many young professionals live here (doctors, lawyers, PhD students) and a few small families. There are not many undergrads or high students who live here, but there is an older community of seniors that are in the building. So there is a diverse, mixed community. I never heard about crime in this building - not once. Natalie and her team are so warm and friendly. She is very knowledge about the building and will to make you happy. Overall, I loved living here and still miss it. I ONLY left due to having a job in Bloomington, which required a move to the south side. I would recommend this apartment to ANYONE!

I've lived at the Marott for about 7 months now and do not have enough positive things to say about the apartment building. My only real complaint is the amount of false fire/emergency alarms there have been over the past 6 months - including one in the middle of the night. The only other thing I'm not a huge fan of is the freight elevators in the back of the building - they're slow and often stop at every floor even if you're the only rider. The rent is reasonable for a one bedroom for essentially being downtown - parking is free, a drive to work downtown is approx. 10 minutes and there's also a bus stop right outside. Other great things - indoor/outdoor pool, sauna, hot tub, small but decent work out room, coffee in the Business Center and a friendly concierge staff. The maintenance is responsive and helpful. I've definitely been very happy with my time at the Marott and I will likely renew my lease. I've always felt safe around and in the building despite the not entirely safe location and I think it's a great place to call home.

As a whole, this building/space is historic, beautiful and has been well maintained.Apartments - Though I can't speak much of The Marott as an apartment complex, I will say that I've had mixed run-ins with the staff at the security desk. Though mostly positive, not all have been. I was attending a friend's holiday party in one of the rooms that residents can rent out (for free) and the security desk attendant was less than professional when telling us that the room closed at midnight (5 minutes from then). Nobody, not even the tenant who rented the room, was aware that the rental period only lasted until midnight. There were other events happening that evening and I'm unaware if the staff member spoke with the other parties with the same less than professional approach.Receptions/Special Events - The courtyard/commons area is beautiful, has plenty of natural light and a recessed stone floor. Reception room (to the left as you walk in) - This room is pretty nice and can hold approx. 200 people. At the event I was there for, this served as a dance floor / bar area. I will caution that the stone floor gets incredibly slippery when wet, be it melted snow or tequila.Guest parking is pretty restricted, and especially inconvenient if you have to park in the back lot off Pennsylvania. Unless you can catch the parking gate open as a car drives through, you have to walk around the block to access the building, which isn't incredibly well lit at night.

I signed a lease here in June because I was told they were going to put an in-unit washer and dryer in my unit by the end of the summer. That promise is what made me sign because I figured I could go a month or two without it. It is now December and I have heard nothing from maintence or management staff about this getting done. I have emailed management 3 times now and have never received a response. I finally went down to ask about it in person and was told they were just running "a few months behind". I have since seen maintenance installing washers and dryers into empty apartments rather than the apartments they told people would have in-unit laundry. It is extremely disappointing I have not had any response from management and have now gone 6 months without the washer and dryer they promised me upon signing my lease.

I currently live at the marott, and have a storage unit here that is considered one of there amenities for an extra fee each month. I went to go down to my storage unit to clear it out to find all of my stuff was completely gone and someone else's stuff in my storage unit that I pay for every month on time as well as rent. Well when I got off from work to go down to the MAINTENANCE OFFICE to get my stuff where it was "supposedly" supposed to be, there were only my tv, my suitcase, and a tool belt. And the rest they threw away without my consent and without even notifying me that my stuff was being moved out of storage. I had about 1000$ worth of stuff in there that they picked threw to see what they could keep and threw out the rest of my belongings. I am very upset with this situation and how "they made the situation right" was doing the bare minimum. My storage unit was completely full of stuff that I worked hard for.
