The Mad Hatter Bar and Grill

This is a very nice hole in the wall bar. It is relatively small and has a small dining area and bar seating available. There is also a small patio area out back. You can enter the bar from the front or back of the building. They have a decent sized private parking lot. You will find a juke box and ATM in there too. They have a few gambling games, and scratch offs going on. Nothing big though. Just something to entertain and pass the time.The staff there is very friendly. They told me that the weekends would be better to get some of the barbecue menu items and that they are looking at carrying those items through the week soon. They have an abbreviated menu of bar food including, burgers, tenderloins, ribs, wings, salads and pizzas. I got a jalapeño smoked sausage hoagie with fries and a side of Caribbean jerk wings. I wanted some of their baked beans, but they did not have any. Sunday's are the best day to get them I was told. The sausage hoagie was delicious. However, get it while you can. They plan on replacing it with an andouille sausage very soon. They fries were hot and perfectly seasoned. The wings were as good as the hoagie. I highly recommend them. They had a little kick, just like I like it and was packed with flavor.This is a full service bar with daily food special and reasonably priced, but stiff drinks. This is a nice local business that has a legion of loyal regulars. Many of the people that was there while I was, knew everyone by first name.If you are looking for a bar to spend some time and get some decent food, while receiving first class service, look no further. I highly recommend this place. I really enjoyed my meal here and look forward to coming back real soon.

Ice cold beer , great service, great beer prices and food . Pool tables , tvs , dart boards , great local bar , hit it up for a cold libation on your way to the southside or grab a ticket for their treasure hunt drawing

Great neighborhood place. Friendly staff great beer selection. Real place for a bee and sandwich.
