The Little India Restaurant

Went 2.1.25, my first time there. They have a small parking lot and a couple of spaces for street partking, but we had to park about a block away, still not bad for a Saturday night.Cute little interior, my friend & I sat just off to the left at a table for two. The only bad thing about this is that every time the door opened, we got a blast of (really) cold air. As the restuarant got more people in it, that helped, but that is the only downside to the evening. We kept our coats on all night and I wish I had had a heavier one!My friend needs to be gluten and dairy free, and staff were very helpful in pointing ouy dishers that she would be able to safely order. She got the lamb madras. I got the galirc naan and the fish/shrimp madras. Both are served with basmati rice. Smelled and tasted SO good, I ate all of it. Our server told us that both of these are "medium" spicy, and my tongue hasd a good tingle going on it. We recently ordered takeout from this place and the quality was just OK . We ordered a popular dish on the menu Chicken Tikka Masala and it was sweet . We expected it will be mild but it was sweet which is not how it should taste . The curry was too watery instead of being thick and rich in flavor . We also ordered garlic naan which lacked the garlic flavor and was a little hard to chew . My 3 star review is for the chicken 65 which spicy enough with a good flavor of garlic ginger and curry leaves . The rice we got as our side was fluffy and great ! Unfortunately we were a little disappointed with our order and it could be due to a multiple reasons like different staff , ordered on a Sunday late evening etc. We hope the restaurants improves the quality and we get try this place again !

Little India is our favorite Indian in Indy!We are very basic and get the same thing everytime, but the chicken tikka masala and the butter chicken are delicious everytime. We always get a garlic naan, and it's the fluffiest naan around. We mostly do takeout because of the small parking lot, but it is very cute inside and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend if you're looking for delicious Indian food!

Okay, we've been going to Shalimar for 20 plus years and the food has been consistent, but then Little India opened closer to our home. It was newly opened and my carry out order took 45 min. and the biryani was oily. After that Aroma opened even closer to us. It has been inconsistent. My last order was so salty I couldn't finish it. So Lil India was tried again. Order ready quickly and food was very good. A couple things ordering online...you couldn't choose heat level (it came medium, which was perfect) and I used "online ordering by Door Dash" and it needed a verification code from a text which was never sent, after many resends, so I had to call a help line which turned out to go to Lil India who told me my order was being made.

This is hands-down the best Indian restaurant in the city if you're looking for superior chicken tikka masala. The other things we've tried on their menu have been excellent, but this dish is unbeatable. The flavors are fresh and it perfectly pairs with their garlic naan. We order this at least once every week or so and crave it constantly. They have a restaurant that you can sit down in, but we usually take it for takeout to enjoy at home.

I really enjoyed eating here! Upon arrival and throughout the whole time, the staff was kind and checked in on us. The food came at a great time and I was excited to try their Devour Indy menu :) I got the garlic naan with a vegetable samosa and butter chicken plus a dessert! This was all for $20 which I think is a good deal. The decor and aesthetics of this place was cute as well :)

Cute building on corner of College/52-parking can be tricky, but WELL worth a couple extra stepsRestaurant is cozy immaculate w fabulous service. I tried several dishes while I visited a Madras, a curry and the Indian pickles.Everything was so off the chain and amazing. I can't even describe to you. How great this place is. You NEED this restaurant in your life

Very tasty. Friendly service. Nice location. Outdoor dining available.We had two appetizers that were very tasty -- potato cakes, coated in chickpeas and fried; and a plate of vegetarian fritters.For entrees, we enjoyed the butter chicken and lamb

Exceptional Indian restaurant right by the Indy fairgrounds. Good prices overall and quick service. Their Naan is really quite good and they give generous portions of rice. Definitely worth it if you're near the fair grounds.

Enjoyed takeout from this restaurant. We ordered the Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan. At first it didn't look like much food, but ended up being a lot. It was all very delicious. I wish it came with a bit more chicken as the container seemed to be mostly sauce, but was still delicious. I would love to go back sometime and eat in the restaurant as it does look neat inside!
