DON'T PLAY HERE.......Unless your a scratch player or like to be punished! OMG! Not the course for a beginner or high handicaps. Nice grounds but a little pricey compared to other comparable priced courses. I personally will not be back until I'm much better but had a good time. I do not believe they have a single fairway that is straight, not hilly or curved and I believe all are surrounded by a bunker. The bunkers are very deep. You've been warned. Enjoy :-)

Course is in great shape. Practice facilities provide great warm up or a nice practice session. Pro shop is friendly and helpful. Course is not for the faint of heart but is a fun challenge. Lots of bunkers guard most greens and tall, thick fescue will penalize you if missing fairway. Rates are very reasonable for a course of this caliber and challenge.

I love this course! It's a bit challenging, but well worth the fifteen minute drive from Indy! The grounds are beautiful and the staff works hard to ensure that every guest has the ultimate playing experience. They also host a variety of special events, including concerts and golf outings!

New ownership is really trying to turn the place around and I commend them for that. Unfortunately Heartland Crossing just raised prices over night, with no communication to customers. Now $25 to WALK nine holes lol - you can ride 9 for cheaper at every course around. - Southern Dunes $22 cart- Smock $18 cart- Buffer Park $22 cart- Winding River $19 cartHeck, the Fort is $27 to walk. I play 3 times a week. Hard to justify shelling out $75 to walk 27 holes.

New team at Heartland has turned this course and event center around. All greens are coming back nicely. The bunkers are being worked on daily. There was a tournament going on after we played as well as an open house later in the week. The course has come back to life. If you haven't been here for a while, you should try it. Great prices too.

Course needs to get with the times. very outdated. The fact that I can't even go to the golf range after hours blows my mind.

Golfed on Mother's Day this weekend. Cruised the course. It was in great shape considering the rain and high school tournament day before. We will be back soon.

Actually would rate this 3.5 but that was not an option.....First time playing here this year. Senior rate on Tuesday was a reasonable $35. Was pleasantly surprised that condition of the course was not as negative as some of the reviews I had read. The greens were very nice. Fairways and tee boxes were good (even saw some guys filling the divots on the tee boxes with sand mix, not something you see at most courses). So it is obvious to me that management is taking positive steps to improve/maintain the course. The bunkers were just fair, but at least they had been raked recently. The fact is that most public courses that cost less than $50 to play are not going to have great bunker conditions, that is just a fact of life in this day and age. Bunkers are expensive to keep in great condition. One negative thing I found was on several of the par 3 holes the tee markers were off by 20+ yards, and the markers were not placed in the direction of the correct ball flight (probably just lack of attention by the person who was in charge of mowing the tee boxes). I hope this course stays open, it is a good course and one of only a few on this side of town.

Very happy to see the continued improvements of the course. Greens in great condition. Sand traps looking very nice with sand and being raked.One of the best courses in our area.
