We are SO thankful we chose the Juniper Spoon to cater our wedding. Lali and her team went above and beyond in so many ways to make our day perfect. Leading up to the wedding, she was so organized, incredibly responsive and kept track of a thousand little requests we had. She always made us feel comfortable during the planning process and handled so many details perfectly. The food was INCREDIBLE and our guests kept raving about it. They create such unique, fresh dishes that your guests will absolutely love. Each dish had so much flavor, and it all paired together so nicely. Lali works so hard to source her ingredients locally, and we've never had catered food that tasted so fresh and homemade. And she somehow does all of this at a very reasonable price. She also added so many thoughtful touches - like a kids table for our little guests and an extra charcuterie board on the head table to make sure the bride and groom got to try the cocktail hour snacks!Lali and her team were so kind and made sure all our guests felt comfortable throughout the day, making sure to accommodate for all sorts of dietary needs. They were such a joy to work with. We could not have asked for a better caterer, and could not recommend The Juniper Spoon more!

I was drawn to the woman owner and farm-to-table menu. Lali and team catered my wedding and it was phenomenal! Lobster rolls, filet sliders, shrimp and an assortment of pies for dessert. This was all after we made a huge transition due to Covid-19 and went from a wedding of 80+ to 30. Lali was super flexible and quick to make the menu changes. Thank you Lali!

We used The Juniper Spoon for our wedding food and had such an amazing experience! Lali was incredible to work with as she helped us customize our menu that really offered a fresh, unique offering to fit our intimate, untraditional wedding. From a grazing table to the entrees to the cheesecake bar, it all tasted SOO good. We got compliments from literally everyone (even kids) on the food selection, which shows how much of a success it was! Everything is freshly sourced and makes you feel good, even when wearing your fancy clothes :) The servers were so polite and set up was beautiful as well. I highly recommend looking here for your next event!

Juniper Spoon does it all well! Casual, home-style meals; food of all different kinds of ethnic inspirations; amazing desserts! We have loved getting their SpoonFed bags so that we don't have to worry about cooking dinner for a few nights. They also put together a fabulous cooking class -- my friends and I got to make four different kinds of crepes that were ALL delicious. They have a beautiful garden where they get so many fresh ingredients. I love that Lali is dedicated to lifting up other small businesses in her community, using local ingredients whenever possible!

I've loved their catering since I moved to Crawfordsville, so it was a no-brainer to ask Lali and the Juniper Spoon crew to create our wedding cake. Not only was this cake beautiful, it tasted amazing! Thanks for creating such a lovely part of our wedding

The Juniper Spoon is the greatest catering company of all time! My now husband and I met them at a bridal show at Hidden Hollow Farm in 2017 and had such wonderful conversation with them, we knew we wanted to book a meeting ASAP and see what they were all about! We met with Lali a few months later and fell in love with everything she and her company did. She even took us on a walk among the grounds and showed us their amazing garden; we loved that we could see where a lot of our food was coming from! Our wedding day was October 6, 2018 and they cooked the best food we have ever had. We wanted to have a gourmet buffet dinner at our barn wedding, and The Juniper Spoon made that a dream come true for us. The staff was amazing, and the food was to die for! Thanks again for everything!

I'm gonna' concur with Betsy A. on this one. Juniper Spoon is awesome in every way.Living in Crawfordsville and working at Wabash, I'm lucky to have a lot of occasion to sample Lali and Doug's fine food. I'm also lucky to know Lali and Doug. And I can assure everyone that they are good people, every bit as much as their food is good food. The next time you need quality catering, consider Juniper Spoon. You really can't do better. (Oh yes, and I heard that Juniper Spoon now provides the pastries at the Bowery Cafe. That very well might be the best food-location combination in all of Montgomery County.)

The Juniper Spoon is an awesome addition to the central Indiana catering scene. This business provides a true breath of fresh air when it comes to event planning, as its focus is on whole foods made by hand from proprietary recipes that provide a twist on the traditional. The Juniper Spoon is a husband-wife effort. Chef Lali Hess sees to the creative cooking side of things, while Doug Miller tends to the family's organic fruit and vegetable gardens. In addition to using their own produce, Lali and Doug buy from the many local growers near them to bring the best and freshest local goods from their kitchen to your table.I experienced The Juniper Spoon's craft and unique taste at a recent reception for Deepak Chopra as part of his appearance here in town. In addition to being delicious, the food was lovely to behold. Chef and her team make great use of fresh flowers, vegetables and fruits as displays and props for their edibles. But, let's get down to business: the food. We arrived at this event absolutely starving due to the hour of its commencement - 6 p.m. on weeknight. We were more than happy to partake of the hors d'oeuvres and crudites....um, many times over. Thank goodness everybody was paying more attention to Dr. Chopra than to our pigging out! I tried everything on the table and while I found nothing I didn't like, here is a rundown of my faves: the herb cheese torte (OMG!), the eggplant caponetta-stuffed pita triangles, the yam and chipotle-stuffed pita triangles, the roasted root kabobs with saffron aioli and of course, the roasted red pepper hummus....oh, and did I mention the herb cheese torte??? Now that I think of it, this might have been everything on the table...almost. We washed all of this down with alternating cups of mulled cider (did I detect a hint of anise?) and mint tea. Unfortunately, the dessert tidbits were quick to make their exit from the display, but we did get to sample *fight over* one little triangular bar that tasted like the Heath candy bar, only without the crunch. But, my favorite sweet thing was a tiny muffin that was redolent with what I believe was orange flower water...I say this because the taste was not just orange-y but also had that fragrance factor that flower waters lend to food. YUM! A glance at The Juniper Spoon's Web site reveals that they also do full-on dinner menus for events, including a substantial range of ethnic dishes from around the world, as well as dinner delivery as their schedule allows.

Wonderful business. The food is consistently amazing, and chef Lali Hess is always coming up with new and unique dishes that are just delicious. She uses local ingredients, along with produce from her own organic garden. Lali will cater any kind of occasion, and even occasionally offers a wonderful dinner delivery service where you get a salad, main course, and dessert, delivered to you. All in all, a fantastic local business that is well worth trying out.
