The Indiana Roof Ballroom

A beautiful venue with large capacity for events! Likewise, the catering team was also wonderful. Amazing, attentive service. The mini-desserts were also devoured--highly recommend ordering those for your next event. Also, I'm not sure where their coffee came from but it was amazing. You can tell its great coffee because you can drink it black, no problem.The AV and large screens allowed for a great set-up for the keynote piece of our evening. There was a full tech team working on the video set-up. The structure of the venue allows for the "birds-eye view" camera angle.Challenges: your guests will most likely need to use the elevators to get up to the Ballroom. Also, it's downtown Indy so of course parking is going to be a challenge (and pricey).

Went here this afternoon for lunch with the AGC of Indiana. The venue is very nice and well kept even though it has been here for what looks to be quite sometime. The service and food as well as bar service was very good.I will definitely come back again next year if not sooner

This is one of downtown's go-to venues for decades. Located above the Indiana Repertory Theatre and along the Cultural Trail, the Indiana Roof Ballroom is located in the heart of it all. Affectionately called "The Roof", the space has been in operation since 1927. It gives off Disney vibes with the decor, look and feel but can easily be transformed to meet the host's needs. They host everything from galas and fundraisers to weddings and concerts. There is a large bar once you exit the elevator that's great for a cocktail hour-style welcome. The main hall features two floors of seating with a stage at the front.

My wife and I went to the 2022 Gala for the Grove lastnight, had a good time. The Ballroom staff did a good job on the preparing of the meals and everything was tasty. The bar tenders up on the top floor in the vip area might need a little work, my wife and I stood in line for a bit once we got to the bar they kept skipping over us going to people that just got to the bar, they kept saying I'll get with you next but next didn't happen for another 15 minutes or so, that was pretty ridiculous.The ballroom looked great, very well decorated and really liked how it looked like you were outside. We had a great time, the Indiana Roof Ballroom did a great job with the whole thing. Nice place to have a Gala.

I was here for a work event and as soon as I walked in I realized this was where I had my high school prom. Total flashbacks! Turns out it was where my mom had her prom too. Its such a beautiful building. The wait staff were all really nice and the food was pretty good. They had two mocktails for our event as well that were delicious. This is an awesome place to host an upscale work event. Definitely a prom. And I can imagine any other kind of formal event as well.

Last night was so beautiful! My husband and I went to the Mayors inauguration ball and it was my first time at the Indiana Roof Ballroom and I was in awe of how beautiful it was. It was very spacious and the staff were very accommodating. My friend recently told me about a wedding that she went to there and she told meHow beautiful it was but it's definitely something that you have to see in person!!! Pictures don't do justice. They served food there and I'll be honest (it wasn't the best) but that's typical for wedding food. I really enjoyed the event at the Indiana roof ballroom and the mayor was so appreciative of everyone for coming out to celebrate. I've been to a few events here including a wedding, company events, dinners, and award banquets. I have always had a great time at the events. It has a nice large floor - the ballroom - that can be used with or without tables set up. The second floor feels like walking down a street of an Italian villa. It is rather dark and there are no windows. This can cause challenges with photography.All in all, it's a good place for large crowds.

Indiana Roof Ballroom is a venerable venue for events and galas. Located at the top of the IRT building, the Ballroom has a large circular area for receptions of different sizes. There is a stage that can handle speakers and even small performances. The bar located by the entrance is large enough that it doesn't get clogged up with patrons. There aren't a ton of space outside the main reception area so it might be a tight squeeze for exhibits and such.The food options (at least at my last event) were pretty good. It was a self-serve type of dinner and there were several stations with different cuisines (Mexican, Asian, Italian). The bar was well-stocked with all drink options including draft beers. I wish I didn't have to use a drink ticket for soft drinks, but not sure if it was a nature of the event or venue policies. The service was fine and the staff kept the place tidy during dinner service.Indiana Roof Ballroom is a good venue especially for formal events. The space has a classical feel and food and service are on point. Being a downtown venue, parking is more challenging but there should be plenty of options nearby.

We highly recommend The Indiana Roof Ballroom! We had our daughter's wedding reception there, and everything was top notch! So well done, from the entire planning process to the food and bar service. The place looked absolutely amazing. Our thanks to Jeff, Craig, Colton, Kile, and the entire staff. Also, we highly recommend the band The Bishops. They were amazing!

I can't say enough good things about our outstanding experience with the Indiana Roof Ballroom this past weekend for our daughter's wedding. This beautiful and magical venue is the best gem in the Indianapolis area. We had flawless communications with their professional staff with attention to detail on every level.
