The Hoosier Drive In

The service was extraordinary. The tenderloin was great. While waiting they gave Jarvis my dog a cup of ice cream. He is addicted to fries and ice cream. Best place to stop for lunch and reminder of old times of cruising.

Only been there once. The burgers are the main attraction of this place, and they are good. But it is walk up style and the place lacks charm.

The tenderloins are really big and really good and well worth the price. They also have a breaded cheeseburger which is as good as it sounds. French fries are very unique but I love them. I've never gotten anything there I didn't like. Hoosier burger and bacon cheeseburger are tasty . I don't think that you'll go wrong with anything you select.

Great tenderloins, burgers,and other fast food menu items, even fried pickles... Carry out only... Lots of flavor and lots of tradition here... It has been here for 40+ years ?

I remember this place fondly from its early days in the '60s. The original building burned down a few years ago, but somebody bought the property and rebuilt on the same site. When I landed back in town after being gone for a few years, I stopped by for a breaded tenderloin fix.The sandwich was pretty good, but the fries were HORRIBLE. Inedible. Their volume these days apparently doesn't make it economical to keep the fry oil hot or the food within easy reach, so things are really slow and the oil isn't quite up to temperature.Disappointing, given my memories.
