We came here for a taygate, pre-shimmer party parking for the Taylor Swift concertWe bought a package, but I honestly don't feel it was worth the price. I feel like it was over and there was a couple shopping booths. It was fine, but that was all over downtown so I wouldn't have paid for it. It was definitely not as advertised. Disappointed. We left after thirty minutes. Just be cautious on booking events here. We heard the same feedback from others.

The Heirloom at Hurst has only been open four months at the time of this review. They have taken an old building, located next to the stadium, and developed it into a 200-250 person reception hall. The building retained its character. Beautiful brick interior and sturdy wooden posts and ceiling structures. The wooden floor give the place a lot of character. Though...they do creek as you walk on them...a lot. That may bother you during a wedding service...then it may not. There is lots of free parking at the facility. Your guests will appreciate not having to find parking or pay extra. Getting in and out of the facility is easy...other than all the Indy construction. The wedding venue is smaller...only holding about 200 people. I think that could be expanded by moving the curtains though. The area is only moderately decorated . You might need to put more effort into decorations if you desire more. The chairs were very comfortable. The reception hall area is very spacious. I suspect you could get a good 200+ people if you didn't have the chapel area. The tables and chairs are very unique for a reception hall. The tables are solid wood as are the chairs. They are very stylish, sturdy, comfortable and fit the old building decor perfectly. This wedding used the bar and food service. The team was professional and very attentive. They were all very friendly! The bar service was limited at this event. The house wines were very good. As for the food..,the Caesar salad was very fresh. The dressing has a nice Caesar taste without being overpowering. The lettuce was very fresh. The croutons were very crispy with a slight seasoning - very good! This meal has grilled asparagus which was excellent. It had a nice crisp and slight oil/seasoning taste. The grilled pork was also excellent. It's hard to cook pork. It was thoroughly cooked without being tough or greasy. Not much seasoning taste to the pork...but it was good. One of the few downsides I would say was the sound system. I assume the DJ was contacted by The Heirloom. He did a fine job. The sound system cracked quite a bit. This made the speeches difficult to hear and understand.Overall I would recommend checking out The Heirloom. I can't attest to the cost or options. As a guest..,it was a great location, unique facility, good food/beverage and professional service!
