Green speed was very inconsistent between holes. Range was very short. Pro-shop attendant directed me towards a janky golf cart, but course Marshall asked if I wanted a better one. Pace of play wasn't terrible. Back 9 are better maintained than front 9.

Because I frequent the establishment weekly I am critical. Food is great, atmosphere is a lot of fun but the service is brutal. Maybe hiring bartenders that service the clientele versus acting like a patron would be a nice step. If their that busy they should consider hiring wait staff to assist the bartenders but regardless it is frustrating to wait 20 to 30 minutes to order when it's a Thursday afternoon at 4:00. Just saying..

Excellent course and well maintained. They have spent a considerable amount of money on course improvements over the past few years and are continuing to do so. Beautiful area to play in and an excellent value for your money. Nice Pro Shop, and excellent bar/restaurant there as well. I've been going there for years and love it!

Hey the golf course is back open!! The Pointe is now owned and operated by the Pointe HOA group. I played today and I was amazed at the great shape things are in! The greens looked better than I have seen them in a very long time. Go play the Pointe we have got to give this course some play and keep it going I think this is a great thing and will support it with my play and that if my friends as much as possible

New owners are transforming this lakeside resort course. Stop at Dave's Dogshack at the turn for a quick bite or have lunch at the clubhouse with their full bar and friendly wait staff. Eagle Pointe is being restored to its former glory!

So in general, and at an outside look, I was pretty stoked that a group golf outing brought us here. Nice chilly day back in May. I was a little too butt hurt to write this review for a while, so I wanted to make sure I took an objective state of mind. Emphasizing that most of our trip here was awesome... Just a few parts that were of the utmost frustration points. We played a "best ball" tournament with 3 groups of 3. I mention this because while not PGA Tour Club pros, most folks could swing a pretty solid wrench. That, and our pace stayed very solid. My group of 3 (the last of our 3 groups) rounded the front 9 and stopped at the concession stand for a couple snacks. We bumped into the group in front of us, and chatted with the nice gentleman at the stand. After taking a few moments here, we hopped on the cart and headed to whole 10. This is where the wheels fell off. We got to hole 10, and our three groups are now standing at the box ready to tee off. There is a group finishing the hole, and another group waiting to tee off before our 3 groups. Being a short hole, you have to wait until they finish. No big deal... We just sit there and mingle as they putt around and finish their hole. As the other group finished the hole, we were discussing which group would go first when a course Marshall wearing a red polo shirt came up. Instead of starting with "hi, how are you guys?" He immediately began shouting orders, and complaining that we were backing up the course, and also accused us of standing on the tees for 45 minutes. Ok sir, I'm not here to argue, so I pleasantly apologize, and let him know that he might be exaggerating the time, and that there were also groups playing ahead of us. By the end of the day he had stopped by a few more times and was even borderline combative. Eventually, I had to get a bit snippy with him and inform him that now he was just making shit up. Those that know me and know how I am were a bit surprised as it takes a lot to really really irritate me but man, this guy was just so rude!I let the gentleman at the stand and indoors know how unpleasant and unprofessional I felt this was. Maybe he was just having a bad day, I don't know, but I'd appreciate it if he didn't take whatever was wrong out on our group. He treated us as though we were inconveniencing him by spending hundreds of dollars at the gold course that day. I feel like this is also a time to mention that while this was a slightly more energetic outing than others, we are all of good golf etiquette. From filling back in divots, to only driving carts where they should, not teeing off too early, quiet while shooting (or someone else is)... We treated the course with respect, and the people, but in this regard it was only a one way street :)

This place is currently CLOSED - for all of you brides and grooms out there expecting to have your wedding here! I would take some serious consideration into cancelling. In the past year they have gone through two different event supervisors and it seems like no one has a clue what is going on. The lack of communication is unreal. My advice - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Filed for bankruptcy-September 7-2017. I along with over 66 other creditors and god knows how many employees are owed a good sum of money. If you book an event here-do it knowing that this place may or may not be open when your event arrives. I had hoped that the new owner could make this work out as a business, but the way he treated everyone who supported him along with his vendors-I just cannot stand by and watch others-including employees get stiffed.

I had the opportunity to play this course recently and the greens are in excellent shape. The distance markings on the cart paths are very helpful. I got to meet the new golf professional and the course superintendent. They have great plans for this course.

The man working the pro shop (older white male) was very sexist and rude. As a female scratch golfer, I walked into the pro shop with my husband and his friend and he said "I'm assuming just two playing?" After I let him know I would also be playing he responds with "the red tees will work great for you, hopefully you can get it off the tee". I have never been one to be offended by male/female comments, but this one really got to me and will be the sole reason I never return to this course & share this experience with all my friends and family local to the bloomington area. So unfortunate for the owners of this course, highly suggest they consider re staffing the pro shop.
