We attended the Little Shop of Whorrors, VIP Style. I was impressed. The VIP lounge was beautifully decorated in the theme of the show. Complimentary cocktail included which of course was fittingly called: the Big Bad Green Mother. Not sure what all was in there, but It was green and I'm thinking it had some Medori in it. A bit sweet, but delish. All the staff very quite friendly and we got lovely seats front and center. I'd say when you get a chance, upgrade to VIP. It's not much more and the seats as well as the welcome, the lounge & drink are well worth it. The show itself was absolutely fabulous and I would go see it again in a heart beat. I'll have to keep an eye out for their upcoming shows. See you there...

Tbh, I didn't even there was a theater on Mass Ave. my friend invited me to check out The Toni Stone play. We chose the last showing on a Sunday afternoon. The 120 seats quickly filled to capacity. The production was done well. The theater was comfortable. After doing some research, I learned the theater has been in existence for over 30 years under a different name. Recently, through grants and donations they were able make some upgrades to the exterior and interior. There is a lobby area displaying art and a snack counter. We didn't have physical tickets for the play, but were required to check in with a lady sitting at a table with a laptop. The theater is intimate and perfect to catch some local talent do their thing.

This intimate theater on Mass Ave was formerly the Theater on the Square. We attended Indianapolis Ballet's "New Works" there on 11/5/22. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and sat in the small lobby, which serves as a little gallery space. Concessions include a well-stocked bar for cocktails, so I had an old fashioned (stout pour, over regular ice). Tickets were priced at two tiers based on location from side to side. Having not been there in several years and certainly not since any remodel, I purchased sight-unseen a middle section seat (third row) for more money assuming better view. Once there I realized there is not a bad seat in the house. Rows are few and the rise substantial. Seats on the far left and right of the theater provide complete visibility, of any production I would think. But especially for a production as dynamic as ballet, one cannot possibly go wrong. Friend and I were late in ordering and so sat apart. She had front row and was close enough to the dancers to trip them. Ha! (She didn't.)

Great to see the old TotS space refreshed.I had never been in the main theatre before, but I went to see Yank! Didn't know what to expect going in, but I was very impressed. The show was great. The seating for this theater is SO GOOD. It's very high, so you don't have to worry much about having someone tall sit in front of you.The space isn't overly large or sophisticated, so don't expect any fancy lighting/set designs.Overall, had a great experience, would gladly go see another show there.

The District Theater (in the space of the old Theater on the Square) is a wonderful space for community theater productions. The updates were much needed and now the space is more modern. District Theater has two stages; one small for more intimate shows and then the large space which seats 160. Since opening, there have been many wonderful productions offered. The most recent show I attended was Kevin!!!!, which is a parody of Home Alone. A small bar (beer/wine) is available and the prices are very affordable for a beverage. Water and soda are also available. I could see where parking might be a challenge, if you do not live within walking distance, as it is located directly on Mass Ave.

I've never been treated worse at any theater. I used to love this place when it was TOTS, but man did it go downhill since. Made to stand outside until 10 minutes before the show, so no time for refreshments (they shot themselves in the foot there). Then, after the show, they usher you through a dark hall where my friend hurt his back on an invisible step, and then into the dark alley. Mind you, there was no show after, they just wanted to get the place shit down so they don't want you to go back through the lobby. I don't think I'll be back, and will be telling all my friends to stay away.
