First movie theatre that I ever attended! Like most people who grew up in New Castle, I can say that I have so many good memories there. The town is lucky to still have one of their original movie theaters, that is still in operation. Most of what is left of "Main Street America" is gone, and my hope is that the people keep The Castle alive and going until the end of time. My wife and I visited town two summers ago and watched a movie there. The place hasn't changed one bit, and that is what is so majestic about it. Theaters should never change, only the films. We hope we can always see a movie at The Castle. Thanks to those who keep it going. Sad to hear about the Sky-Vue. Very sad....

Old-Fashioned Small Town Movie Theater--------------------------------------------------------------------------------This place is a gem. A very empty gem.- Single, normal-theater-sized screening room.- You have your pick of seats, since it is so empty. - They play one movie at a time, each for about a week. Usually pretty good ones.- Old-timey architecture inside and out. - They decorate specially for each movie. The Harry Potter decorations were so cute!- Full snack barVisit The Castle next time you want to see a new movie without the crowds or the corporate atmosphere.

been twice and place was just DIRTY. I don't think they have cleaned the seating area in years. Bathrooms were scary. Nice to have a small theater BUT should be kept up better. Snacks/drinks were typically over priced so eat before or after. Movie price was decent, staff was ok except for the crey guy that kept hitting on me and my friend......

I took my girlfriend to see suicide squad on the first day it came out and after the movie started we started feeling what felt like little bugs crawling on us. Kept looking but never really saw anything. After the movie was over we both we into the restrooms and shook our clothes really well and notice we had little red bites all over. We told the person in charge and even call the manager and talk to him. I would have though we would have been offered a refund or something. Maybe next time I should go to the news papers and show them the pictures I took of my arms and legs, stomach and back.

I wish NC had a larger theater. They tend to only air children and family movies. They do offer a free movie on Wednesday AM which is kind of cool. The snacks are very limited. They have ok attitudes here so its not a horrible place to visit. The movies are fairly cheap but they snacks will put a dent in your wallet. Seating is not very comfortable. They only show one movie at a time.

Five Stars plus if I could. Started off by getting a token when I was paying for my ticket. I ask what the token was for and I was informed every Tues is free popcorn....you won't find that in the big chains. The lobby and restroom were immaculate which is a big plus in my book. Makes the thought of making your way through the dark theater onto an unseen aisle and chair a lot more appealing. The staff was very friendly and even offered to help with a flashlight after the show to find my phone case that popped off when I dropped my phone in the dark. The theater is huge with comfy nicely spaced seats. It was very cold outside but nice and toasty warm in the large theater. (I have sat in many new chain theaters and froze to death before so cudos for not skimping on the heat) The lobby had a cool retro feel of grandure no longer felt in the new theaters. If this theater was in a hipster area of a large city it would be packed with artsie people raving about the place. My ticket was only $7.00 to see a hot first run movie "American Sniper". I was saddened by the small number of attendees because this theater is a real treasure in a town that has lost many of it's nice restaurants and businesses over the years. I hope the word gets out to the towns people who may not have gone to the Castle in a while how nice the Castle is these days and how lucky they are to have such a modernized yet vintage place to watch new release movies at a very small town fee.

It would be nice if they showed movies over G and PG-13 ratings I'm sure they would have more buisness...
