By no means am I rating the wedding that I attended a couple of weekends ago. This place is cute? I'm not really sure. The barn itself is HOT. There are no fans, no good windows to open, and large doors that remain open. Not a big deal, unless it's hotter than hades out. The only cool place on the venue is the air conditioned trailer bathroom they have nextdoor. Honestly - the bathroom is kind of an eyesore; however it is 100% a necessity. I can only imagine the hell caterers must go through in this place. No visible kitchen that I could see which lets me know the cooking has to be done beforehand or on a food truck like the wedding I went to had. Definitely no prep area free of bugs or area to leave the food free of bugs. It must be a nightmare for them. And the pony they have on site just looks sad and underfed. MerryLegs is cute but looks old and forgotten. I'm not sure if it was the heat that made the poor little pony appear that way or if that's just a reality. The pony made me feel bad for it him or her. Nonetheless, the actual ceremony was held under some trees dropping walnuts on everyone's heads. The grass in the area was a bit too tall. The parking situation was okay - gravel driveway and parking in the grass. Needless to say, I'm sure that the trend of barn weddings will continue and this place will likely continue to thrive. I just hope I'm not invited any time soon.

My dear Yelpers, this is the first time I have EVER given a one star rating. Usually I am able to find a redeeming trait at establishments to avoid such a ranking, but the barn hadcertainly NOT earned it. I was anxious to see this venue, as many bridal exhibits this year had demonstrated images of a beautiful antique barn for brides and grooms to celebrate their marital bliss. When I first arrived, I do admit the site was lovely and I fell in love with the old pony in the paddock out front. My happiness however ended quickly from then on. The owners of this venue are very curt and dismissive, often leaving the bridal party and caterer to sort out their own problems. The two grooms whom I was assisting that evening, had multiple encounters with the venue hosts of an unpleasant nature. For all my caterers out there, DO NOT GO. This venue is by far the least catering friendly site I have ever been to. There is no kitchen or prep area to speak of and chefs are asked to set up an outside tent to make the meal (therebye allowing all manner of insects to access the food). There are no sinks or washing station, making dishes impossible to clean. Any sort of clearing is to be done outside, often times in the dark without any sort of lighting. To top things off, the hosts will insist at the end of the night the caterer take ALL garbage from the event with them, not just their own. Yelpers I do strongly urge you to seek other venues. These folks are just not part of the Yelp spirit!

This barn is a joke. The owner was very rude and the "staff" were not helpful what so ever. You are not allowed to setup the night before because it will "blow away". You're not allowed to keep the rear barn doors open because it's "code", even though they weren't on the barn weeks prior. It's VERY hot with no reasonable solutions. Not one single person from the venue came out the day of the wedding when setting up to see if there was anything we needed. Even though the barn was supposed to have been blown out, cob webs swept out, and chairs wiped down. None of it was done. And lastly, they didn't have the yard mowed! Definitely no upkeep. After a fabulous day celebrating, we all had to bust ass to clean up the barn and load up all of our belongings. We weren't allowed to come back the next day to clean up. P.S. the portable restroom trailer smelt like sewage. I gagged when I went to use it thinking I was about to get sick. It was that bad.

We had the most wonderful wedding/reception and experience at The Barn and with Sarah and her staff! It's a beautiful setting and they thought of every detail to make my son & daughter-in-law's wedding of their dreams!
