UPDATE- Our wedding was everything we hoped it would be. The Barn of Coatesville did a wonderful job of making everything go smoothly for our special day. They have so many options to rent linens, decor, or chair covers if you would like. The only negative aspect we experienced was both the owners both have other jobs and (as one would expect) it's hard to manage running a business and a full time job. There were a couple times during the planning process that it was difficult to communicate with them. We were very pleased with The Barn of Coatesville :)

Don't come here if you want to have fun. Very strict rules. 9 pm alcohol cut off, even if you bring your own beer. We had the venue until 11 pm. Called police to warn that patrons had been drinking.

The barn was pretty on the inside, but unfortunately we had rain on the day of the wedding which proved troublesome for the facility to handle. There are no actual solid walls, so water was pouring in that morning, soaking all the tables and chairs next to the wall. The roof was also leaking in several spots forcing large buckets to be placed on the main walkway. The area for the groom and groomsmen to get ready in was a small shed located across the grounds from the barn and was soaking wet, forcing the guys to get ready off-site, therefore we have no photos of the men preparing for the wedding. Owners are a little odd and unnecessarily caused a couple of uncomfortable scenes in front of the entire wedding group, one which involved physically assaulting the best man after he asked the owner to come outside to discuss a minor issue that came up (one of the groomsmen was holding too many beers). They began enforcing some new rules halfway through the night to make sure we didnt drink too much. Ultimately they made last call at 9pm after the wedding party gathered in a circle around 830 and did a large toast to kick off the "opening" of the dance floor. Owner remarked that he would not tolerate "that" behavior for 2.5 more hours, which, truthfully, we had been doing nothing but dinner, speeches, first dance, and other traditional wedding activities up to this point. We were supposed to have the venue until 11pm, but once they shut down the bar, shut off the music, and turned on all the lights, everyone ended up leaving before 10pm to find a new location to continue the celebration.
