Great reviews led us to this little Thai restaurant in Brownsburg. The restaurant is in a nicely renovated former fast food structure. The inside is serene and upscale (for the most part) with a mix of booths and tables. Pong, our server, brought us soup and water as we sat down. He was attentive and kind. He checked on us regularly. The lunch menu offers many Thai favorites for $11.99. Meals include the entree, salad and spring roll, which is a great deal and the portions are generous. Food came out in 15 minutes, hot and fresh! I ordered Pad Pak Ruam with Tofu. My plate was artful and huge. Pad Pak Ruam is packed with vegetables in a tangy garlicky sauce that was beyond delicious. The salad dressing was sweet with Thai flavors. The small spring roll was crunchy and yummy. I loved this healthy plate and recommend. My husband had Chicken Pad Thai. His meal came with salad and spring, too. He loved the Pad Thai and ended up bringing half of it home. They have a bar and serve wine and beer. There is parking around the building. I recommend highly.

Tried this place for a lunch with coworkers after a coworker said it was fantastic. I disagree. I had the garlic pepper beef with a spicy level of hot. The garlic sauce was lovely honestly. It was the highlight of the show and it had enough heat that my nose ran a bit but it wasn't uncomfortable. The beef was a rubbery mess and the carrots were sliced so thin that they lacked any consistency at all. Which is fine, except that it was served on a bed of cabbage. So I got rubbery beef and rubbery carrots served on a bed of rubbery cabbage. It was not pleasant, and the steamed rice that they probably just dump some water in every hour or so didn't help. It was rubbery and mushy. So if you like rubbery, get the garlic pepper beef. Pong was our server and the only server for what was a pretty busy lunch scene. He messed up drink orders and didn't bring refills until we asked and then we all had to ask individually. Worse he piled our tickets in front of one our group and invited us to sort them and did the same when he brought back the receipts. Even giving credit where it's due that he was the only one there doesn't really do anything to help the lack of service. The place is nice, that's the only thing I could say. The coffee cup of salad mix with no dressing and pinkie sized spring roll added no value to the meal either. Won't be returning. Don't understand all the glowing reviews unless it's just about the low cost.

Eating lunch out for one person adds up too fast these post-COVID days. I don't do it often because it's too expensive, especially for what you get.But Thai Basil? I'll be going again for lunch. For $13 (including tax!), you get a choice of many Thai staples that come with soup, salad, and a spring roll. Because of the price, I expected the quality to be the worst. I was wrong! The Massaman curry I ordered was as good as my other favorite Thai places in Indy. Plus, the server was so friendly and we were greeted and seated right away. Clean, friendly, delicious, and fast. Excellent choice for lunch!

Thai Basil is my regular spot for Thai food and the majority of the time I get it to go however this time, I went with some friends and dined in. It's a small restaurant and it's usually not busy, that was the case today, we were the only customers. We were greeted and sat down right away. The Thai Dumplings were really good, my friends had the Chicken Satay, Crispy Spring Rolls, and the Shrimp Salad Rolls which they all really liked. I decided to try something different and had the Pad Wun Sen with Tofu, the flavors were great but I didn't care for the big chunks of tomatoes. I also ordered the Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango to take home.

My husband wanted Thai food tonight for dinner, so we headed to Brownsburg to Thai Basil. Easy to find with a private parking lot. Lunch is offered from 11:00 - 3:00 p.m. and dinner is from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. Note they are closed between 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.When we arrived, a patron was leaving and informed us they were only offering takeout. Their furnace had broken so there wasn't heat. They did have a couple of large space heaters where guests could be warm while waiting for their takeout. It was very considerate of them.We ordered the Thai Dumplings with ground pork and veggies wrapped in a wonton skin and steamed. I love these dumplings and should place 2 orders as my lunch or dinner. They are that flavorful and so tasty. My husband ordered the Pad Wun Sen, #27, hot, with chicken, stir-fried silver noodles, and mixed veggies (no mushrooms) in a tasty brown sauce He loves his Thai food, prepared hot, and tonight did not disappoint. He was very happy with dinner.I ordered my usual Pad Kee Mao, #26, medium heat, flat noodles, chicken, stir-fried egg, and mixed veggies (minus broccoli and add cabbage) in a Thai Basil sauce. I love the flat noodles and could order just a plate of flat noodles without meat or veggies. They are never overcooked and delicious. The chicken was tender and bite- size, plus the veggies were crisp-tender. It's always my favorite Thai meal. The restaurant was chilly without heat, but as always, the server was polite and friendly, plus made a point to make sure the heater was close to me. Our order arrived quickly, and we were on our way within minutes.Even under unwanted conditions, they remained open, professional, and apologetic. We are always very happy dining at Thai Basil.

The people in my dinner party were the only people in the entire place. Staff kept the ice tea coming while we ate our meals. The level of spicy in my Veggie Delight dish was on par with what I anticipated it being-- however I did think there would be more veggies than tofu, which was slightly disappointing. I also don't think staff were incredibly allergen aware. I hope that this place gets some more business-- it wasn't exemplary, but it was good!

After visiting Thai District several times, we decided to try out Thai Basil. We tried the Crab Rangoons, house salad, coconut milk soup, Pad Thai, drunken noodles, and mango sticky rice. I was AMAZED at how similar each meal was at each restaurant. Thai District wins for environment but Thai Basil wins for price. I am so happy to have two awesome local Thai locations!

This was my first time going to Thai Basil and the food was wonderful! I got the drunken noodles with chicken and a Thai Sweet Tea. It's in a developed area of Brownsburg that has a lot of nice shops, restaurants and residential space. Parking is in the back and free! Totally recommend

I'll preface this with saying we have ordered this dozens of times and love it. My 5 yo loves it. We always order "Medium" level heat. I don't know who cooked this tonight, but this is NOT medium. No one could eat this in our home and we love spicy food. It is painfully hot, causing stomach issues. Nothing is helping (not milk, ice cream, etc).
