What a relief to hear that I've got 2 months left on my lease. From random charges to broken utilities, the staff has made it hard to want to renew or apply to another TGM properties. Shadeland isn't the only property that allows poor behavior from employees.

I moved in 10 days ago and am happy with my apartment. The management and all staff have been very informative and helpful. I hope to never move again!

Sadly, after 12 years, I had to say goodbye to Shadeland Station Apartments. I sincerely had the best experience living here. Although the leasing office staff changes regularly, everyone is extremely nice and knowledgeable. I never had any issues with the neighbors in my unit. Fortunately, most were quiet and considerate. On the other hand, the units across from me can be loud at times. I can hear people talking and playing music from across the street. Finding parking in front of your building can be a pain to find in the evenings depending on where you leave. The folks in the building across the street from me where always parking in front of my unit, which was uber annoying. I can't really speak about the pool because I used it like 1 time in 12 years. I'm just not a fan of public pools. I used to use the gym often which is pretty well maintained. Cookies and coffee are always available in the main office. The staff is great with maintenance issues and signing for your packages. I've always felt safe here. I would walk around late at night. I often left my door unlocked with no issues. I've never had any issues with left although one of my neighbors car was stolen a few years back. Solicitors will come around periodically although they aren't supposed to. During my first few years there, people selling false products would come around, but that decreased dramatically over the years. Great location with quiet neighborhoods to walk or ride your bike. Access to a slew of grocery stories, malls, the interstate, etc. All in all, a great experience! I can't recommend this place enough!

I've been here a month now and moved from an apartment more in the inner city. The interiors are really nice and these are well maintained. I love the plush carpet. I feel very safe and enjoy walking my pup around the neighborhood. Excellent location- close to Castleton, Fishers and Broad Ripple yet secluded. I love that they will paint accent walls for you. Only things are if you have a 1 bedroom the hall laundry is $4 to wash one load. If an empty unit is being cleaned it is very noisy for a few days. Never hear neighbors beside me but I do hear the one above me quite a bit. Decent mix of residents but also many college students (Indiana Business College is in the parking lot basically) Love it here so far - I chose here because of the reviews and the value for the location!

Okay, so I waited to write a review after moving here from Southern CA recently to experience TGM Shadeland station first before I said anything. Here are some things I've experienced. 1) Denise, Dalton, and Ben (the leasing office team) are very awesome. They are just present and very kind individuals who all went out of their way to ensure it was a great experience moving from California. My wife and I love the fact that we got to meet these people. We looked at places from all over southern California to all over Indianapolis. They hands down have been the best team ever dealing with when it comes to apartments. So Denise, Ben, and Dalton, you guys are amazing!!2) The community is very quiet and feels very safe. The neighbors are very responsible and awesome as well. It is pretty clean except for a few trash pieces every now and then. Nothing compared to some of the local apartment complexes I've seen.3) Maintenance experience with Kyle- He came in a timely manner on his off-day and fixed the problem within minutes. He has a very upbeat and easygoing personality. It was a great experience, because I was most concerned about getting an apartment with a strong maintenance team. Thank you for doing an awesome job Kyle. 4) No regrets, these people deserve an award, and definitely deserve recognition. If you are looking for great, quiet, quality, safe apartments with an honest team this place has been that for us.

You will not regret moving here I LOVE this place. When I was moving to Indianapolis I looked at a lot of other apartments but none compared to Shadeland station. I think the thing that drew me here the most was the office staff. They are so friendly and every time I walk into the office they stop what they're doing to greet me and asked me about how I'm doing, they're really genuine about it. They also do a lot of things for the community weather it be a holiday gathering, a pool party or breakfast hand outs on your way out in the morning. I loved it when they did a donation drive for the Humane Society. It makes you feel good and want to be more involved. I absolutely love my apartment it's quiet and comfortable and it feels good to come home every single day. There are plenty of scenic wooded and pond views and the ducks and geese make You feel like your not even living in the city. You are close to everything when you live here. You are a five minute drive from two different highway entrances, and a 10 minute drive from Broad Ripple, downtown, Indy Castleton Square Mall and Hamilton Town Square. You are close to grocery stores restaurants and walking trails as well. If I had to give one thing I disliked about living here I would have to say in the one bedroom apartments you do not have laundry hook and the laundry is in the hallway, however I've not had any problems with using the community washer and dryer they always seem available when I need them and they do a really good job and cleaning my clothes. Other than that I love it here! Come be my neighbor!M3

My wife and I have been here for over a year and a half, and overall this is the best apartment complex I've ever lived at for a number of reasons. But no complex is perfect. THE GOODFirst off, this area is very low key and safe. There's a lot nearby and we're close to 69 and 465. The apartments are continually being renovated, and we were lucky enough to get one, which has very nice carpeting and an updated kitchen (new countertops, cabinets and appliances). The office staff is very friendly and accommodating. Each time I stop by to pick up a package, drop off rent or voice a concern, I'm always greeted with a smile. The maintenance crew is the best! They're quick to reply to issues, almost always the same day unless you call in the late afternoon. There were a few issues on move in day, and they addressed all of them immediately. During the winter, the maintenance crew is very good about clearing drives and sidewalks. When our friends came for a visit, they commented on how quiet our place was. We never paid much attention to it, but the walls and floors are very forgiving of sound, and we've only had one issue with a noisy neighbor (they had a sub-woofer, which would cause trouble no matter how thick are walls are).THE BADStorage is a bit of an issue for us. You do get a small storage space on your patio, which is great, but because the closets are average size, we don't have much room for everything else. You get a washer and dryer, which is a must for us, but they're located in one of the master bedroom's closets, which further eats away at available space. The kitchen is great, but there's no pantry, so you either need to buy one or be conservative with your cabinet space. The windows and sliding doors are older, meaning not very energy efficient. Our last apartment was a great deal bigger, but our energy bill was often much less a month. The living room is rather small, and if you get a unit with a fireplace you really miss out on space. In terms of furniture, we could only fit a couch in ours, and had to get rid of our recliner because there simply wasn't a place for it. Smoking is allowed in some buildings, at least it is in ours. We have a neighbor that smokes heavily, and our guest bathroom will smell like smoke because of it. We've brought this to management's attention, and the maintenance crew attempted to alleviate the issue a few times, but smoke is tricky. EDIT: I had a major complaint with the amount parking spaces available at night in my original review. However, this hasn't been an issue for quite awhile.

The apartments are great (for now). The complex and staff are great. Except they can't figure out how to not rent to drug users. 3 out of 8 apartments in my building have drug users. I share a wall with one of them and the smoke gets in my apartment. Both the previous and current tenants. My children and pregnant wife have to leave the house because of the smell. The cops come and do nothing. The landlords do nothing. It shouldn't weeks and months to get lease-breaking DRUG USERS kicked out. Avoid this place unless you're a drug user.

I'm grateful for the helpful, caring and professional office crew here at Shadeland Station. The clean pool and small work out center are a bonus too. The maintenance crew is very prompt, efficient, and communicative with any requests submitted. My neighbors are friendly and caring. I looked at many apartment complexes before moving here and found this to be the most convenient location, most clean, cost effective, and updated apartment complex.
