We recently visited Tegry and tried their wasabi dumplings--definitely a bold choice! If you love wasabi, you might enjoy them, but for me, the spice was overpowering. I usually like wasabi mixed into soy sauce with sushi, but in dumpling form, it was a bit too intense.As for the sushi, it tasted good, but for the price, I expected higher quality. It wasn't bad, just not as premium as I'd hoped. Overall, a decent experience, but I'd likely try a different spot next time for better value.

Tasty sushi, horrible service.We saw our server four short times to get our order, bring drinks and food then the bill, I would have loved some water but they were busy at the host stand so the parchment continued! Otherwise they had a decent selection of wine and sake and a surprising number of sushi rolls without cream cheese. For those new to sushi, they make it easy to distinguish if raw, spicy or fried so I thought that could be helpful to some!

Crunchy shrimp tempura, spring mix, avocado, wrapped in soy paper, topped with spicy crabstick, soft shell crab, spicy mayo, unagi sauce.)* tasted fine but 5 scrawny pieces of below average sushi for $15 is robbery. Chicken Tempura 6/10~ (Crunch chicken tempura, avocado, topped with teriyaki sauce.)* im sorry WHAT. this had literally grilled chicken in it, nothing tempura about it. Also it literally came with 6 of the smallest pieces.

When we walked in an overwhelming smell of soy sauce and what I can only describe as urine smell was throughout the restaurant. Even when I sat down at the table, I looked down and it just was kind of sticky and felt like there was residue on the table and then when I saw the menu had literal soy sauce on it I was just shocked at what I was witnessing. I was absolutely shocked at how horrible everything was. The salad tasted like literally just soy sauce, which is very odd for a ginger salad. Typically, you will taste ginger but all you could really taste is soy sauce. When I saw the portions, I literally laughed, spending between 16 and $20 on an entrée and it's literally enough food to feed a small child. It's funny because the salad was huge and just didn't taste very good at all very sour, but at least that portion was pretty big. I was surprised there was no sort of crab Rangoon's or any sort of raccoons or anything like that which was very odd. Majority places I go to. I have really good experiences so when I have bad experiences like this one, just kind of sucks. I feel like I already wrote a review and maybe it was taken down, but I'll write another one because of how bad the experience was. The service was OK, but it was very quick which isn't always a good thing when it kind of feels like your food was maybe cooked too quickly. I guess the owners must have a lot of friends because the food that I had was not worth five stars and really wasn't even worth one star. And keep in mind I leave very nice reviews when restaurants actually have good quality food and everything is great, but when stuff is bad, you have to let people know And stop trying to be so nice because if I went to this restaurant for a birthday dinner I would've been so disappointed and upset with how poor the quality of food is, I don't know I care about birthdays and what I eat on my birthday and all that even as an adult because it matters. I only have so many birthday dinners I've only had 26 so far so I try to make them count. Now date nights, which is what this, I have lots of those and this one was definitely one where we just couldn't stop laughing at how horrible everything was at every step of the way. For book club we always choose a place to order in for dinner, and we are all sushi fans so the hostess suggested this location.I loved all the different options that we had, each roll was fresh and delicious!It also traveled very well, I want to visit this location so I can take in the full experience.Was impressed with this food! I went to Tegry Bistro today and had the most spectacular experience. As a vegetarian, I'm used to not having many sushi options but Tegry provided plenty. I had the Las Vegas and subbed the inside with tofu and cream cheese. The roll was absolutely delicious, the portion size being perfect as well. My friend, also vegetarian, got the Tiger Eye but subbed the salmon with tofu, crafting a spicy roll she absolutely loved. We ended our meal with their chocolate lava cake and it was really good. The service was spectacular. Our server Sofia offered us refills throughout the night and was speedy with our every request. I was very pleased, especially since the restaurant appeared busy.The restaurant's mood is very relaxing. There was beautiful artwork throughout paired with ambient lighting. I saw a roll on fire and smelled it's scent from across the room (it was amazing), I asked a worker passing by what it was and was told it's the bonfire roll. After looking back on the menu I was saddened the roll wasn't vegetarian but I definitely recommend it to everyone so I can live vicariously through you ().TLDR: Tegry has amazing food with plenty of vegetarian options. The service was spectacular. The restaurant's ambiance was relaxing as well. Definitely recommend and will be coming back in the future!

Tegry is my go to for quality sushi in Indy. Good atmosphere. Fresh sushi. If you're a sushi fan in Indy, I strongly encourage you try Tegry. Las Vegas roll, rockstar roll, and Thursday roll are my classics.
