Really small restaurant. Only had 3 booths for customers. Had to wash my hands afterwards and they had a kid open a secret door that had a dark room and small bathroom in the back. The food was good. I had got the Birria quesadillas with consume which is not included. Also got the nachos which was weird because the cheese was a thick canned cheese. Definitely only have drinks the bottles or canned so don't think you're getting a cup with ice. The Birria meat itself didn't have much flavor. So for two quesadillas and an appetizer and two 4.99$ small Bottles of soda it came up to 50$. The up charge to use a card is like another 4$ so I would recommend cash but who really pays with cash anymore.

Delicious authentic tacos! The birria was amazing. We had both a burrito and a taco. Horchata was good. Service was great too.

Bad. Felt like tourist trap Mexican food. Chips left sour oil taste in mouth, salsa and guacamole were flavorless, burrito was nothing but lettuce, and the sauce on the burrito was one step away from ketchup. Walls were dirty, the credit card machine adds on extra fee to your bill....just over all really bad. Go the Paco's on Keystone instead.

I was looking for tacos tonight. I was super hungry after hitting the Monon trail. I went to another taco spot before this one and it was too busy so I pulled up taco spots on yelp and I drove to la chela. I called in my order and when I pulled up it was ready. I ordered two chorizo tacos with cilantro and onion. I didn't take a pic but the tacos looked good. I ate them and they're pretty average. I can tell they're using a sweet onion and it's just okay. Their green sauce is just okay too. I guess it did the trick for me because I had a hankering for tacos at the time but it won't be my first choice the next.

I ordered from La Chela tonight and had a great experience w/their free delivery! We've been avoiding delivery lately because of the fees they charge (we'd rather our $$ go directly to the restaurant) - but when I saw that La Chela offers free delivery within a 1 mile radius I was sold! We ordered 2 kids meals (1 taco w/rice & beans), 1 single beef taco, 2 al pastor tacos, one large guacamole with chips, and because we spent more than $25 we got a free chips and salsa. The guacamole was chunky and full of fresh onions, cilantro and tomato, the tacos all came with a lime wedge and either radish or cucumber garnish, and the bags of chips were generously sized, warm and crispy! I pre-ordered at 11:30AM online with a request to have it delivered at 4:45 and it arrived right on time as scheduled! The al pastor tacos were great, the kids beef tacos lacked a bit of flavor (but I did request them without cilantro and onion) so I tossed a little cheese on them for my kiddos. We'll order again and when we do we're definitely trying their queso because I've heard really good things about it! Also, I wonder if they'll consider adding elotes to the menu? If so, we'd be regulars.

Delish new spot in Midtown that you should check out. Had the chorizo, pastor, and asada tacos. They were flavorful and had the right amount of filling. Order the poderosa and it comes with rice, beans, and a drink. Lots of food for a great price. The inside is small, but plenty of room to stay and enjoy your meal. Staff was friendly and answered our questions.

This spot is a great addition to 38th street. I love supporting locally owned restaurants. As soon as you walk in the door you're greeted by a friendly cashier. Once you order your food they will bring it to you at the table. Many people just came in to grab food to go. The wait didn't seem too long for them, maybe 15 minutes. I got my food to eat there. I tried a steak torta and it was huge! I LOVED the homemade salsas that were available. They really took the sandwich over the top. The only thing I didn't like were my fries. They were undercooked and soggy. I prefer crispy, hot fries. This is close to my house so I'll definitely be back.

I love this newest gem in the area. It was once home to Zhengs Garden. The previous owner had the area pretty small, and you weren't able to do inside. Now you have a small sine in option. The meal was really good! You get a great portion size for the price. I am still giving 5 stars, although I was saddened by them not offering steak with their chimichanga. They also offer.. great daily happy hour food deals . Like others shared, the gentleman that took my order was very knowledgeable; he even let me sample a small amount of the juice before I purchased.I'll be back!

I typically don't post reviews but I thought I'd give some insight on this place since I'm a big Mexican food fan. As you can tell this place may seem skeptical at first because of the size but overall I would say that my experience was pretty good, especially considering the location. The staff were pretty friendly and seemed regular. No one said anything rude or rushed me. I took a while to order because of my substitutions but the cashier still took his time to describe what I was ordering .As you can see the food definitely has an interesting look. They clearly cared to make it look somewhat like the photo, so that's awesome. Now to get into the TASTE....I love Mexican like I said and I feel like it's a good 75 out of 100. The rice is alright, the beans kinda have no flavor(it may just be like that so that people can salt it themselves idk) and lastly the burrito was pretty good! The steak was a little dry but it definitely has that authentic Mexican flavor. It also was seasoned pretty well honestly. The salsa was very good !!! It had lots of cilantro and it was very well seasoned!! The side of green and red sauce ware alright as well. I spent 20 dollars for this meal and I waiting for about 15 minutes.
