Great spot for takeout! The sushi is really fresh and high quality. They also have some amazing hibachi and appetizers. Their online ordering is easy and simple, the customer service is equally nice and helpful. This is a great spot in town, a must try!

The sushi is absolutely delicious at Takumi Sushi Hibachi. This little locally operated Japanese diner is located in a newer strip mall in Whitestown. (Takumi means artisan in Japanese.)You order at the counter then find a seat. The menu has an extensive selection of rolls. They also offer hibachi meals and bento boxes. They carry mostly Pepsi beverages with a few miscellaneous drinks such as Red Bull and sparkling water. There is no alcohol. For lunch, they feature sushi roll with miso soup combination. The freshly made rolls come out fairly quickly. The miso soup comes out hot and delicious. The sushi is presented beautifully, served with wasabi and pickled ginger. The Fire Cracker roll is spicy hot and delicious, my favorite of the Classic rolls. The cream cheese soothes the heat from the jalapeños perfectly. The breading is delicious on the roll. The Spicy Shrimp roll is also delicious with a perfect amount of spicy heat. The Shrimp Asparagus roll is a wonderful combination of fresh and tasty....a favorite. They have seven tables to dine-in but most people order delivery.

A nice, quiet tucked away restaurant with a decent atmosphere; food is always good. Got some ramen, sushi, and chicken and rice bowl (trying a little of everything). Everything was flavorful and the service was more on the lax side. Overall a solid 4/5

I love this place! Hibachi is one of my favorite foods, but it can take a while. At this location you order at the counter and they bring it to you when it's ready so it's much quicker. We've ordered the same thing both times we've gone and it's delicious every time. They don't have table service, it's very casual so nothing fancy. We go in our comfy clothes. Very reasonable prices and I love the variety

Excellent food and service! My family and I have been visiting Takumi ever since it first opened and every single time we are overly satisfied with our experience. The sushi and salad were delicious and the staff is so sweet and treats us like family. They even ended up giving us complementary dessert in honor of the solar eclipse happening later that day. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the zionsville/whitestown area!!

Delicious! We got the curry tofu and curry chicken with noodles for carry out . The noodles are an up charge but so worth it! The noodles are lo mein noodles. The curry dishes were a great size, enough for 2 meals for me and they did not skimp out on the protein!Ordering was seamless through their website although the only option to pay is when you pick up your order which I found a bit odd. They also tack on a 10% service fee ($3 on our $30 order) for a pickup order. All in all, I would definitely go back! I'm a foodie who lives in Chicago and even this place meets my high standards!

Sorry, I'm in the minority here. The menu is Pan-Asian which made me a little wary, and my fears were justified. The sashimi was just ok; I probably won't get sushi here in the future. The Chirashi was underwhelming; it's supposed to be an assortment of the chef's choice of sashimi on a bed of sushi rice and pickled vegetables. I've never had one include imitation crab sticks before and they didn't include any wasabi or pickled ginger. The special rolls are pretty, though. Now the sesame balls appetizer (a Chinese dish) was very yummy! Since the employees are Chinese, maybe it would be better to focus on ordering Chinese food here?
