Let's just start with a clean slate - I don't recall ever eating Indian food before this visit and I have allergies to a lot of the menu, so I played it safe given that I left Epi pen behind. But man this is good! Portion sizes are plentiful (you can easily make these last for 3 meals) and the food is so good, and especially unique for this area in particular. (We have a lot of chain restaurants!)Our server was very patient and very helpful in finding something that would expand my palette a little bit without hurting me. Excellent work. Definitely will check this out again and explore the menu a bit more.

Way, way overpriced and the food is mediocre at best. My husband actually broke a tooth on a bone in the goat curry, which resulted in an expensive dental bill. Do not recommend.

Tried a new to me Indian place and thought it was pretty good! It interesting how chana masala seems to vary depending on where I order from - this one has a yellow curry base but was still really good and flavorful. I asked for hot spice level and it was more medium, but that's ok. Also had garlic naan, which was on parr with other places and it was ready to go pretty quickly after I placed my order. It looks like they've remodeled recently so if you do dine in, it's a nice little space and appears to also have a buffet - maybe during lunch? The stuff was there but it wasn't set up with food in the evening. Will definitely try again and have something new next time.

As a couple, we enjoyed a lunch of Chicken Jalfrezi & Paneer Bhurji. Both were excellent. We live North in Indianapolis, but we'd go out of our way to come again; perhaps on our way to and from Brown County.

My friend and I wanted to try a new authentic Indian restaurant for lunch. Our first choice was closed till 5:00p so we found Swagat Indian Cuisine on Yelp. It sits back in a strip center with low visibility and is the last building on the end. I hope he places a few signs out to draw attention to the restaurant.Swagat serves lunch from 11:00a - 2:30p for $8.99 from Tuesday to Sunday. The menu has numerous Appetizers (served all day), Tandoori Specialities (Salmon and Lamb Chops available), Non-Vegertarian as well as many Vegetarian selections and Rice Specialities. So many choices and everything sounded so good. The owner, who was also our server, answered questions, made suggestions and was just fantastic. We are not experts at the name of dishes but we always like whatever we select. He suggested the Vegetable Platter Appetizer for the variety. Veggie Samosa, 4 Veggie Pakoras, 2 Paneer Pakoras and 1 Aloo Tikka was on the Platter. All was delicious but the Aloo Tikka filled with spiced potato was my favorite. We enjoyed the assortment with different flavors, spices and textures.Naan is one of my favorite breads and I always devour it. The owner suggested we try the Green Chili Naan stuffed with tini green chilies and cooked in a tandoori oven. It was amazing with so much flavor, light and slightly crispy in places. Our next order was the Garlic Naan which is my weakness brushed with garlic, cilantro and seasonings with the same texture. My friend ordered the popular Chicken Butter with a boneless chicken breast marinated in yogurt and spices, then roasted on the skewer and sauteed in tomato and butter sauce. The presentation of our entrees were beautiful. She loved the tender chicken, flavorful spices over the amazing rice.I ordered the Chicken Tikka Marsala which many of you have probably ordered before. The dish has the marinated chicken breast in yogurt and savory spices (similar to Chicken Butter) and served in a delish tomato sauce. Both dishes were served with a light and fluffy rice. The owner surprised us with an order of hot Gulab Jamun Balls soaked in a honey syrup. They were decadent and a first time treat for my friend. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable for both lunch or dinner. The owner is sincere and a compassionate person who truly made our experience with his delightful food and service. We will be returning and taking more friends.

Excellent food. I've been exposing my 88 year old mother's, per her request, to different cuisines and she loved the food here. I did to. Nice staff, clean restaurant, and delicious food.

We had the Lamb Byriani, the lamb was tough, and couldn't even cut it with a fork or knife, and we couldn't chew it. Vegetable Samosas had a great flavor but they were very greasy. Plus The food was expensive for the value and portion sizeThe first time we ordered there and won't be back.
