Sushi Den

TL;DR: 5/5 experience. Highly, highly recommend sushi den.Recently tried sushi den for the first time, eating in the restaurant. The atmosphere, service and food are outstanding. We were greeted with a house made cucumber salad on the house, and ordered edamame. I am a fan of edamame in general, but Sushi Den's literally melted in our mouths. I got a sushi roll and the noodle side, another friend got 2 sushi rolls and lastly the chicken teriyaki. The food was absolutely delicious. You could taste the freshness in every dish. The chicken teriyaki may appear to be one of the more expensive dishes, but it was huge! It came with soup, a salad and fried rice. Just delicious. The noodles are garlicky and savory. The sushi was a highlight. After our meal our server brought us mochi on the house. It was so good!! After this truly awesome experience, we decided to get take out. This was 3 night later- I was ready to eat it again!! The take out quality was just as great. Warm, fresh and quick! They also treated us to cheesecake bites! I HIGHLY recommend sushi den to be a stop you make while in Indy, or if you are looking for a new sushi/Asian restaurant!

We love sushi den! We've been here a couple times and I think we've been really early each time, so it wasn't busy at all. We loved all the rolls we've tried. I can't say I loved the yakisoba but it was still good. It's a cute place, with lots of plants.

My family took a mini vacation to discover Indianapolis. We stayed in the active downtown area. After a day of walking around and discovering the downtown area, we were craving Sushi. We looked for a close sushi place with affordable rates and a good rating. We landed at the The Sushi Den. It hit all the boxes with good service, easy to find location, neat ambiance and delicious food with fair pricing. The three of us were starving so we ordered crab ragoon and miso soup right away and came quickly. We ordered a total of four rolls, which included two house special rolls. The family favorite was the spider. At the end we were suprised with mochi for dessert, very tasty and light. I would recommend to any local Indy sushi lovers. Enjoy

Sushi Den was delicious and trendy! Upon arrival we were asked if we had reservations-we didn't. We were seated quickly and our server took our drink order. The server brought a pickle cucumber (yum and different) Staff were very friendly and polite. After we got there it got very busy. Food was fresh and good. We ordered a few drinks a sunrise, (server recommendation), mojito (was not strong at all) and a Sapporo beer. Highly recommend this place.

I made a lunch reservation for 8 to celebrate graduation with family. Overall, we had a great experience. The waiters were all very friendly and attentive. We ordered a few appetizers and a sushi boat (beware the calamari is shaped like rings and is only 5-6 pieces) It tasted good but the portion was small for a large party. Love the ambiance and decor of this restaurant. It's very pretty inside and super clean which I appreciated.The sushi was pretty good. I have not had much luck finding good sushi in Indy, but this place did not disappoint. I enjoyed the sashimi and the sushi rolls were very unique and flavorful. I personally loved the roll with mango! I would recommend this spot for a date night or a lunch with friends/family.

I wish I could give sushi den five stars. And in most areas, they deserve five stars! However, when we visited, they were severely understaffed. There was only one server for the entire entire restaurant. After being seated and ordering everything together, because we were on a time crunch, it took 40 minutes to receive our glasses of water and five more minutes to receive the beer that we ordered. Because they were so busy, they didn't have anyone working the bar, so they couldn't give us the cocktails. We had ordered 45 minutes prior lol they did offer sake on the house in place of the cocktails. Our food came out shortly after, and we had to inhale it in order to get to the show on time. The sushi was delicious, the crab Rangoon was nicely done, and the server was extremely friendly, considering she was probably stressed out!The actual restaurant itself is super cute. I love the decor. There are quite a few tables and a small space, which was nice. I will definitely be back but not during a lunch or dinner rush .

THIS PLACE MAKES ME SO HAPPY! Let's start with ambiance - it's bright and clean and the seating and is spaced out well and the chairs are beautiful. The menu is fantastic! I used to live in Japan and appreciate Japanese restaurants in the US that have a wider array of options - especially for appetizers and this place did! I brought a friend who did not tell me in advance that he didn't like sushi lol but he seemed to enjoy what he got - and I was ecstatic. It has been a long time since I've had high quality sushi and the cuts of sashimi were perfect! I wanted more but need to go back solo or with a sashimi lover They have a lot of great set options and next time I want to try their set sashimi option where the chef pics out I think ten cuts of sashimi? I could be wrong. Anyway - go find out for yourself because you can't go wrong. We got the Maki B set which had tuna, salmon, and shrimp tempura rolls. We also got the Tamago sushi and the red snapper sashimi. Our server (I think her name was Cecilia?) was awesome! Attentive but gave us plenty of time and space to figure out what we wanted. She gave some great suggestions as well. The food was great. Super tasty and I'm still craving it a day later! If I hadn't already had a cocktail or two beforehand I definitely would've gotten a drink. Their drink menu had a lot of options!They also gave us a complimentary mochi ice cream which was SO KIND. This is going to be my new favorite sushi spot in town for sure.

Food: has potential! I personally got a number of things including the shrimp tempura (perfect), teriyaki beef with fried rice (the rice was fluffy not fried) - which could have been because I went towards the end of the closing. It came with miso soup and salad. The miso soup had tofu in it which I think took away a lot of the miso flavor, but the salad was yummy. I also had pork fried dumplings for the table that were vegetable dyed that surpassed my expectations after having the rice. All in all, it was decent and would go back in hopes the quality was due to the timing of dining! Service: pretty efficient and quick. Straightforward waitresses.Ambiance: it gave a cool, botanical vibe that was very nice and peaceful with clean lighting and variety of tables and booths. There was a bar area that was super nice. The interior and decor was very cohesive and complimentary!Note: street Parking can be a challenge but there's a few garages in the city way area nearby.

Worth the drive!!!My friends and I were looking for a place to get some food and one suggested this new sushi spot! I'm always on the prowl to try new spots so we agreed to meet at sushi den!!This place is so cutely decorated. I love the scenery. I think they mentioned a patio/outdoor seating coming in the near future! I would love that.Alara was our server and she was absolutely fantastic!!! She smiled and was pleasant the entire time. The food. Oh boy the food!! I had a sexy jalepeno and I can't stop talking about it. It's literally the best thing ever!!!! So flavorful and the presentation, chef's kiss! I also had the dynamite roll (I think that's the name) and it was good. You get a lot of pieces and I wasn't able to finish it all. I accompanied it with the salad and of course the ginger dressing is the best part!!I had a lychee martini and it was ok. I'd try a different drink next time. The menu is cute with all the art work of the drinks. I liked that better than just a list of what they have.This is about a 30 minute drive for me but it was absolutely worth it!! I can't wait to return to get the sexy jalepeno and to try other menu options!

I don't live in Indy but everytime im out here i gotta stop by. All of the rolls taste fresh and they have sooo many cheap ones! Fr never been disappointed with a roll (volcano is my fav). It's got a cute vibe with a lot of open space and really bright during the day. Everyone is kind and attentive as well :-)
