I come from Southern California. I used to live in Santa Ana, a city with more Mexican inhabitants than every city except Mexico City. I lived most of my life with access to a wide spectrum of options, from super-authentic to super-refined, to super Tex-Mex. Mexican food, when made properly, is amazeballs. Here's the thing: There is very little Mexican food that I would even call decent in the Greater Indianapolis Area, especially on the Northeast side. Sorry, lots of places, but you ain't got it. This place is bomb. It reminds me of some of my favorite taco places in SoCal. Not necessarily the most authentic, but delicious and very reminiscent of home for me. The al pastor was a little sweet and tangy. The carnitas was of the style with the pieces of fat in there to make the mouthfeel just fantastic. If you are from anywhere in the Southwest, or want to know what all of the travellers/transplants are raving about, hit this place up.

This is my new go-to taco place. Very authentic. It's in the back of the supermercado. They have plenty of seating. I like their food over nearby similar restaurants in the area. Anyways, this tienda is stocked with plenty of ingredients to get you set up for success on your culinary endeavors. Great customer service also! They answered all my questions. There is a meat market, bakery mini panaderia and fresh counter in there too. You should go! Lots of fun Candies and treats to try.

When I first walked in, I was a little skeptical because it was empty, one of the doors wasn't an entrance, and it was a supermarket. Little do you know, inside the super market is a family owned Mexican Restaurant. A lot of people does take-out since there is technically no where to eat your food; also I don't think you want to eat your food next to a raw meat department. The market was quite dirty and duty; many of their items seem to be no one touched it for ages. This somewhat makes me worry about the food quality when there is so much going on around this small market. I ordered 5 tacos from this location; the steak was delicious, but the shells or tortilla that they used was very soft and soggy. It was a nice experience to order inside a supermarket, but it's definitely not for everyone.

Today was our second time coming here. The tacos are delicious! We had Al pastor, barbacoa, and tripa. I never knew there were two types of Barbacoa. We got both kinds of Barbacoa and loved them! My partner is from Mexico City and said he's never had any tacos this authentic and flavorful in the U.S. I would definitely recommend coming here for the tacos! The salsas were amazing! I liked how the green one was extra spicy. Also the chicharrón sold by the meat counter is the best!! I would have posted photos but we devoured all of the tacos right away. We also had Jamaica, tamarindo, and horchata drinks which we loved the flavorings of. I would definitely recommend coming here to fulfill your Mexican food cravings!

A Co-worker told me about this little Mexican restaurant located inside a grocery on 82nd street by Le Peep and behind Starbucks. They have some limited seating, butt they are mainly carry out. The hAve menu in a Spanish and some English but the lady's behind counter Wii's heel you if needed (yes I needed some help)I have now gone twice aardvark I have been pleased both times. I have posted photos of meetups and food. Thom hey are not very expensive. I am told they are authentic dishes. I like to try several al things and I have. Let's start with my favorites. Steak tacos were excellent and a very nice size and great flavor. I will tell you the salsas are HOT, but the flavor of the red was wonderful.Pork tamales were very good and the best I have had in Indy. I am not the only ooze that lives them because they were sold out on 2nd visit. A friend has tried twice to get them and sold out both times. They were so o good i regretted ordering only 2.The burritos are huge aNd packed full, my wife got 2 meals out of 1.I have also ordered the pork rice and beans. The pot rly was vvery good and a nice portion, but I did have to remove several bones. The place is clean, reasonably priced and staff is very friendly and helpful.

Oh man! Talk about real Mexican! This Hispanic specific supermarket, like many other grocery stores, has it's own fresh food court (more like a taco stand inside than a food court.) It's great! I did some grocery shopping and picked up fresh hot lunch all in one spot. You need to know the basic food related Spanish words though. If you don't you might have a hard time finding someone that knows English really well. All potential barriers aside this is one of the best kinds of markets. Your groceries are fresh, your herbs and spices are fresh, and your lunch or dinner is made hot while you shop!
