Stopped at Stomping Ground as part of a holiday crawl event with a couple other local businesses and found it delightful! Their selection of plants is great, the bouquets looked lovely, and the person helping us out had good recommendations for my friend and I who are not so green-thumbed. I was able to pick out a plant as part of the event, and couldn't help myself from purchasing another one as well as a hot toddy mix too. There is also a great selection of non-plant goods available, making this a fantastic stop for all sorts of gifting! At the time we visited, there was lots parking available on the street, behind the building, or at Kan Kan, but I've also seen the area get crowded during big events at the theater.

A local small business that sells plants and flowers, smells and candles.. all the fun touches you forget you need around the house. The space is intimate, like visiting a friend, and features chocolates, pins, candles, and other goods made right here in Indy. The perfect place to get a personal gift for someone. & the value of everything is fair--the service is excellent. I highly recommend this gift shop.

Eek! This place is too fun. I'm well overdue for writing this review. This has become my go-to spot for buying seasonal flowers and plants to decorate our porch and front yard. 1.) i love buying them from a local biz 2.) their selection and prices are fabulous. 3.) the cherry on top? The owner, Martha is fabulous. You can find everything from seasonal plants and succulents to cards and gifts at this quirky and fun shop. I also love that it's one of the key businesses bringing attention to the Windsor Park neighborhood. What's not to love about grabbing a fresh pastry from Amelia's then moseying next door to shop at Stomping Grounds. Enjoy your visit!

Finally stopped in and I'm so glad I did. It's such a welcoming space. They have indoor plants, outdoor plants, and items to support your plant parent needs. The plants are healthy. It's a great place to do gift shopping too. The employees are friendly and parking is limited at times as they share a lot with other businesses and a theater venue in the area.

Just walk into this place and take a deep breath ... and you will feel immediately calmer. Stomping Ground smells like eucalyptus, beautiful candles, wood and the exhalation of plants and flowers. It's such a tranquil shop. It will feed all of your senses with peace and beauty.I was brought here via a Yelp event, but I bought some things because this shop has so many well-curated items that I couldn't resist. Mainly, I found a candle for my office that smells like bergamot and white tea leaves. I've been burning it since I brought it home and it's amazing. I also got an essential oil shower thing that makes my shower smell great. Basically, I was inspired to purchase great-smelling gifts for myself because of how great this shop smells.Stomping Ground also sells things like children's books, gardening supplies, plants, flower bouquets, clothing and more. It's a great place to find a unique gift for someone in your life (or a gift for yourself, like I did.)

I love the Hot and New Around Indy events since they introduce me to locations I've never visited. I had no idea these four businesses in the Windsor Park neighborhood was even here. I was concerned with the walking distance between the businesses but once again, events are always well planned and convenient. This event was no different with the businesses next door to each other.Four businesses were involved with this event; Amelia's - a bakery, Kan-Kan Cinema, Solace Skateshop and Stomping Ground - a flower and gift shop. When we arrived we found ample parking between Kan-Kan's and Amelia's. We started at Amelia's located in a comfortable house with indoor seating, a couple outdoor tables in the back and a beautiful outdoor deck with a pergola in the front. The staff gave us a warm welcome and asked for ID's and driver license to check names off of the event list.It was 5:00 p.m. so I wasn't expecting a full bakery case but I did find a few items left. The 2 women behind the counter worked as a team and one packed the complimentary, delicious Chocolate Chunk Cookie while the other packaged 2 Cocoa Brownies and 2 Chocolate Crossiants. The Cocoa Brownies appeared to be super soft and gooey in the case but instead had a firm texture throughout, crispy edges and softer middle. It was tasty and I'd order again. The Chocolate Crossiants were phenomenal, buttery and flaky with the delicious chocolate located on the outside edges of the crossiant. I will definitely return for this sinful delicacy.Next, we walked approximately 50 feet to Kan-Kan Cinema. The automated doors were appreciated and we walked directly into the attractive Cinema lobby. No one was stationed at the concession stand so I walked back to the busy curved bar and restaurant area. Seating consisted of several booths and 4-top tables with an abundance of natural lighting from the wall of windows. A gentleman soon arrived who was familiar with the Yelp Event. He, too, took our name and license then gave us a complementary Bogo Cinema ticket plus offered us a bag of popcorn. He was friendly and answered several questions about the Cinema. I'm looking forward to seeing a movie here soon.Next, we walked next door to Solace Skateboard Shoppe in the green house. The shop was small with walls full of fun, painted skateboards. The friendly owner was helpful and informative but understood when I mentioned the obvious that I was too old to use a Skateboard. I wish I had a reason to purchase one as I found several designs I liked. I left my discount coupon since I knew I wouldn't be using but I did receive a red Yelp water bottle that I'll use.The last stop was Stomping Ground located in the bright blue house. The smooth, brick ramp made accessibility effortless. The porch had colorful hanging baskets and flats of pansies ready for purchase. We received a warm and enthusiastic welcome into a bright, cozy and colorful shoppe. We found beautiful bouquets ready for purchase as well as a diverse selection of cacti and other plants. The other half of the shoppe is filled with wonderful items such as jewelry, candles, incense, plant books, gardening tools, veggie and flower seeds, potting mix, t-shirts and even infant and toddler clothing.I purchased one of the beautiful bouquets to enjoy at home and chose a complimentary flowering catcus. I would of purchased more but the plants require natural lighting which my home is drastically short of. Thank you to Yelp, Niki and all four of these amazing businesses participating in this fun Yelp event.

What a cute store! I was here for a Yelp event, but decided to stay for a bit and shop around. The set up is awesome, it's spread out into different sections. They offer so many different things, shirts, pins, candies, plants, crystals, and candles. I picked up some insense sticks, that smell awesome, some great pins, a Ruth bader Ginsburg key chain, and a Leo sticker. The whole store also smells awesome! Definitely going to be back to check out more awesome stuff!

I first noticed the presence of Stomping Ground earlier this week when I stopped by to visit the nearby Amelia's. This corner right on the edge of Spades Park in the Windsor Park neighborhood has become quite the delight with Kan-Kan Cinema and Brasserie, Amelia's, Solace, another business in the same spot as Solace, and this delightful little indie gem right on the corner and technically on Nowland Avenue. First off, Stomping Ground also has a rather nice wheelchair ramp similar to that of the other businesses. It's incredibly well done and the front doorway opens fairly easily. It's a one-sided, residential-style door since this was formerly an actual home. You enter and you quickly feel at peace. There's an abundance of greenery and an abundance of healing energy. This is a woman-owned business with a core of feminism present throughout the shop that includes books, artwork, plants, jewelry, soaps, candles, clothing, and other items. It reminds me a lot of a Silver in the City or Homespun type joint, though perhaps more simply done. I entered and the woman working the front counter was present along with a young girl who was likely her daughter (or a really young employee! Just kidding!). I believe the owner was also present, though I suppose they could have been co-owners. Both were very friendly. The shop carried some Kan-Kan shirts, a great sign of a collaborative neighborhood effort, along with positive stuff for Indy's Eastside and Windsor Park. As an Eastsider myself, it was refreshing. I was able to wheel my wheelchair in each room where they had items. I was able to get everywhere I needed to get. Prices are wide ranging but there's definitely something in most price ranges. I ended up spending just under $25 for a calendar locally made by an artist and a plant that was on sale. I also noted that as I left the ramp was well enough done that I could carry my items and still exit safely. There were other items I really liked including bumper stickers, buttons, puzzles, and a candle that I found really tempting. Business was pretty steady while I was there. The vibe was overwhelmingly friendly and hospitable. They also do offer shopping online. I really loved this place. They offer street parking or there are spots, including accessible ones, in the adjacent Kan-Kan lot. This is definitely a winning spot and it's nice to have this type of shop on my side of town without having to head over to Broad Ripple or SoBro. Though maybe I'll start calling this SoSoBro. Seriously, though. I love this growth on my Eastside of town. I look forward to returning to Stomping Ground in the near future.

Cute little shop with a fun assortment of goods. Plants are great but I love all the nick nacks. Cute/funny mugs, t-shirts, stickers, and cards. Plus stickers, pins, shirts, etc supporting inclusivity and diversity. Wholy support this store and its positive message.

Well Well Well....this is quite the hidden gem. This place has been on my list to visit for quite some time. I follow them on Instagram and I have been meaning to go. Thanks to Yelp having an event it forced me to stop in and I'm so so glad I did. When you walk in you just feel good. It feels warm and cozy and just safe. When you look around there is much more than I thought. I honestly thought it was a plant store, but it is much more than that, it is the perfect place to get good unique gifts, décor for your home, stones, books, cards just so much. You need to just take your time and walk around and take it all in. I had it on my things to do list to pick up a gift for a set of 9 year old twins birthday, I had no idea I would be getting something from here but I did. They had the perfect gift that is something different yet meaningful. They have such cute shirts that speak to being kind which I love so I'll be back soon to get a couple of those too. This is now my go to spot for gifts for sure. Oh and there is plenty of parking either out front or in the back of the shop no excuses not to visit!
