Unfortunately, there seems to be a lack of Lenten fish fry's in Central Indiana. Fortunately, St. Mary's Catholic Church provides use of their Gruber Hall to host an AYCE fish fry every Friday during Lent. For a modest price, you can get abundant fish, coleslaw, and lemonade/water/tea. Desserts are provided by charitable local women. Their homemade desserts vary in type and quantity each week. Arrive early to get the best selection. You will also want to consider arriving early as the venue gets crowded during peak hours. For anyone living from Lafayette to Indianapolis, consider making the trip to Frankfort for a good fish fry during Lent. The meals are good, affordable, and proceeds support worthy causes.
