St. Joe's Brewery is a spot I've been wanting to visit for a while, and externally, it doesn't disappoint. The building has a stunning "church-like" aesthetic that immediately catches your eye and sets a unique tone for the experience. Inside, it was fine--nothing to rave about, but no major complaints either. The layout isn't my favorite, but it works well enough.Unfortunately, the service left a bit to be desired. The brewery wasn't busy during my visit, yet the service felt slow and disorganized. My server apologized for forgetting the food menu, but that misstep ultimately left me without the chance to order anything to eat, which was disappointing. One thing that really stood out (in a bad way) was the lingering fryer smell that clung to me after leaving. It's a detail that makes me think their ventilation system could use some serious improvement.Overall, St. Joe's Brewery has a lot of potential, especially with its beautiful exterior and unique charm. However, service and ventilation issues held the experience back. I'd return for the atmosphere, but I hope they address some of these problems.

We brought friends from out of town who wanted to go to the brewery that used to be a church. They weren't disappointed. We popped in forSunday brunch. I started off with a Bloody Mary with a beer chaser. Then, my husband and I shared the Bison Scramble. Everything was bursting with flavor. I love that this brewery used to be a Catholic Church. It's a unique atmosphere. Our server, Katie, was outstanding. Our friends really enjoyed their meals and drinks. Everyone left happy!

I eat here at least biweekly and personally think its the best place to kick back in downtown Indy *when its not trivia night*. The food is always an incredible value and never bad. Fries here are epic, just ask for the extra crispy with a big ranch. Salmon entrée is always on point for me, and the grouper sandwich with fries is the best cheap lunch downtown for a pescatarian. Love the servers here! If you sit at the tables along the bar you tend to have more fun, great people watching and friends in the neighborhood always stop by to say hello.

Paris 2024 and none other than the GOAT Michael Phelps visited St. Joseph's during the swim trials back in June!! They have a picture of him taking a selfie with the owner on Facebook. How cool and what great a place he chose to visit!! The building is just beautiful!! It's a Gothic church style and it's unlike any restaurant you've seen. It's very unique! They're known for their beers as it's literally a brewery. I like the hard ciders they have. The food though is delicious! I've had a few different things here and I love the Asian sesame chicken. It's so good! The brownie dessert they have comes out of warm with ice cream on top and it's amazing. Always had good food and service here and I love the atmosphere here. Two thumbs up to St. Joseph's!

We haven't been to this restaurant in a while and decided to go for a date night tonight. We got a late start, so we searched for places opened past 11:00 PM. We decided on this place because we love the charcuterie and crispy buffalo cauliflower. I checked Google before we left for downtown and it said they were open until 1 AM. I also called three times but it went right to voicemail. We arrived at 10:10 PM and there was no parking anywhere near the restaurant, so we spent 5 minutes driving around to find a spot and had to walk quite a bit to get there. We arrived at 10:20 and waited a few minutes at the hostess stand. We were finally greeted and informed that they close at 11 PM and we had precisely eight minutes until last call for food and alcohol. I told the guy that Google said they're open until 1:00 AM and he was aware of that and seemed irritated it hasn't been fixed yet. We already knew what we were going to order, so we said fine and sat down to order. We ordered our apps and dinner. The server brought my Pepsi and my husband asked if he could add a cocktail to the order and was told that he could as long as he ordered something immediately. He ordered a vodka tonic. A few minutes later the charcuterie and cauliflower came out. I noticed the cauliflower wasn't tossed in Buffalo sauce like I ordered it. I asked the guy to take it back and have it tossed and my husband also asked if we could have a little more bread for the charcuterie and some plates and to go boxes. He returned with the boxes and a couple pieces of bread in one of the boxes but noplates. I asked for a plate again but I guess he didn't hear me. The meal came out a couple minutes later and my husband never got his cocktail and I never got my plates. No one asked how the food was. The cauliflower was cold and it's not the same recipe as we had before. It has a strong lemon flavor which doesn't go with the buffalo flavor. I ate some of the charcuterie and boxed up the rest because we felt rushed and unwelcome. The bill came and we were shocked that there was a charge for $3.50 for three little pieces of bread. We waited around for our server and he said he'll take it off. I told him my husband never got his drink but he didn't say anything. We paid and left disappointed. Two stars for the charcuterie. It's still amazing although I guess I'll eat it tomorrow.

I had the fleeting youth Cider and it was excellent. We split cauliflower and the big pretzel for a late lunch. It was excellent. The cauliflower was the big (great) surprise. I always love a pretzel. Love the big feel of the place but was hoping for stained glass windows! The number of brewing tanks was impressive.Service was good although they missed me coming in - I went up to the bar since I was time pressed. Would definitely return.

We LOVE this place! What a unique atmosphere as it is in an old church. The poutine appetizer is great and so is the burgers. We have never gotten anything bad here and love bringing people here for a unique place downtown.

The ambiance is fantastic! TVs around but don't interrupt the vibe. Extensive drunks menu. Wide food menu. Pretzels and beer cheese were spot on! Husband said salmon was in top 5 of best he's had. My fish and chips were delicious! Will be back!

Great service, fun atmosphere, good beer (so I'm told by my husband! I'm currently pregnant so I'll have to try it next year ha), and yummy food. A fun place to socialize with friends. Well priced and an overall nice experience. Would definitely come back.
