That's my husbands 5 stars he's from the area and LOVES this place . I am not a hotdog eater one or two a year tops but it's a local favorite . Everyone in his family goes nuts about it so I thought I should share their love lol . The diet root beer is delicious I will give them that and I've been know you enjoy a few fries but that's me if your a native hosier or a hot dog lover you should give the place a try it's been in business since dinosaurs roamed the earth so they must being doing something right .

Best place in town for real root beer and hot dogs. I don't care for the hot dog sauce but I love corn dogs and hotdogs with mustard and onion. The root beer is the best. This business had been an icon of Peru for decades. Im guessing due to Covid they aren't doing the traditional put a tray on you window and serving root beer out of frosted glass mugs. But they still do car hop and the food is great. A must if you are in Peru during the summer. They are only open about March to October.

This place is awesome! They have great hot dogs in many different ways. We had the corn dog, the nacho cheese dog, the Spanish dog, onion petals, and fried pickles. Everything was hot and crispy as they are supposed to. I will definitely come back. Ohhhh yeah the prices are awesome too! The staff was great and very pleasant. Come check it out. Yummmy!

Great coney dogs and root beer. Super reasonable and fast service. First time in. Great old school destination ride on the motorcycle. The Unknown Diner digs it the most!

Love it, only thing I don't like is that they're closed during the winter. Everybody knows, everybody goes. Spanish sauce is perfection.

This place is one of my fondest memories of Peru, Indiana and I'm so happy to see that the service and food have remained the same after 30 years!

Food was excellent as always, but the girl that took our order was obviously having a bad day and was not friendly at all. Another order I witnessed her slamming their food down on the counter in disgusted. After witnessing this I had already decided there would be no tip, but thankfully another very pleasant young lady brought our food and I very happily gave her a tip. I can't brag enough about your food as I was visiting from California and was very disappointed in the carhops attitude!

I selected rating at 0 order was wrong and waitress was rude guess it matches owner's attitude he is a joke as a electrician and a very piss poor hot dog stand owner well I guess u get a star u piece of shit it won't let me Post a review unless I give u a star so there is your shit star

Used to stop here pretty regularly but hadn't been by for a while. The trademark sauce is now average at best. I can fix it as good or better at home. Next time, we will look elsewhere when needing a coney/Spanish dog fix in Peru.

Well if you eat here don't say anything if your order is messed up. The manager will call the police and serve you with a no trespass to never come back. All over a 7 year old root beer float. Most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. Seems manger needs some public relation to deal with public. Worst place to eat in Peru Indiana
