I had the BEST pastor taco I have ever tried in the U.S. here! The meat was tender and seasoned perfectly. I'm still drooling just thinking about it. I actually rarely order pastor, because I usually end up disappointed, but the server recommended it and I decided to give it a try. The tortillas was great, the meat perfection and the green salsa just took it right over the top. Five stars!!!!! I also had a gordita with steak and chorizo. It was good as well. Thick enough to pick-up and eat, but still thin and crispy. Yum! It seems like Soriano's has been around for awhile, but it was my first time finding this gem. Unfortunately my phone camera is not working and I couldn't take a picture of the food. :/ On the bright side, I have a great reason to come back!

I had the chilaquilles - verde salsa - here and they were delicious. Cheesy, robust in salsa flavor and solid in meat yummyness! The service was okay. My girlfriend stated her barbacoa burrito had "little flavor". Also, I definitely paid the most I have ever paid for chilaquilles at 14.00. The plate was large though.Note; The restaurant does not provide chips and salsa.

Looking for real Mexican food yesterday and headed to one of my favorite little places only to find out it has closed. Went on the search and ran across Soriano's on W.Washington St. We got there after lunch and we're the only guests there. We were hungry and quickly discovered this was a good place to fix that issue. The chips and salsa were extraordinary when we weren't expecting anything more than the run-of-the-mill chips and decent salsa. Chips were freshly fried and the salsa was the best I've ever had...anywhere. Had Chilaquiles and a Cabeza Taco while my buddy had a beautiful Seafood Tostada and a Cabeza Gordita that he raved about. He also slammed down a Victoria beer in the Grande bottle. Classy joint? No. Super nice people? Absolutely! Worth the trip? Don't miss it!

Eh, I was unimpressed. The service is great and very fast. The prices are pretty decent, especially considering what you get. It's more costly than you'd pay anywhere else, but the portions are bigger. The burrito was HUGE. and the barbacoa was great but the flavor as a whole is virtually non existent. I was really, really hungry and only ate 1/2 of it because I just couldn't stomach the rest. My boyfriend thought that the rice had good flavor, but I disagreed. I thought it was pretty bland. It was a tad better with a huge dollop of hot sauce, but unfortunately it wasn't for me. My boyfriend got the chilaquiles and he absolutely loved them. He really enjoyed the flavor and the heat of the verde salsa -- and he is a chilaquiles connoisseur -- and while he wished the meat was a little less done, it was great for him! I don't know if I'd be back, but if I do -- I'd love to try their soup -- the pictures looked absolutely delicious

Sorianos has just about the best Barbacoa d Res I've had since leaving San Diego. It's served just right with tortillas, cilantro, onion and lime on the side. If you haven't had Barbacoa de Res (Mexican barbecued beef), trust me. It's distinct. Savory, spiced beef cooked slow and deep to delicious perfection. I've had some of the other dishes at this place and trust me, they're just fine. But having had it several times already, it would be tough to come here and NOT have the Barbacoa de Res. PS - The cilantro wasn't totally as fresh as it could be. And the horchata, methinks, was made from a mix. But this place is otherwise top-notch. PPS - One order of the barbacoa is plenty for two.

I'm an avid fan of Mexican food, and I was highly disappointed with this spot. To start, you don't get the complimentary chips and salsa that you usually get at other typical Mexican restaurants. The servers seemed very unknowledgable as well when asking about vegetarian options. The food was pretty mediocre for its price point, $16 for some basic fajitas. There are definitely better options in the area.

Moved from Central Texas almost two years ago and have been on the search for REAL enchiladas ever since. Well, I FINALLY found them at Soriano's! Try the cheese with verde sauce (haven't tried the red yet). You won't be disappointed. Even better? The food is priced correctly---no over-priced, under-spiced "Indy-Mex" here! Other things we've tried:Huaraches --- get them with mushrooms...so yummy. Great alternative to a taco or two.Sopes --- one to share as an appetizer...two of them work as as a meal. Either way, you'll be very happy.Al pastor tacos --- just like you'd get from a taco truck in San Antonio!Chilaquiles --- pretty good, but not the best. They'll do if you really crave them. Make sure you order the egg over easy...the cooks have a tendency to overcook the eggs.Chips and salsa --- definitely above average for Indy. If you want more kick or just a different flavor, ask the wait staff to bring out the "salsa in a bottle"---red and green.Guacamole --- fresh, perfectly dressed, and cheap. You will stop ordering guacamole at all those restaurants that have been over-charging you for a lesser product. Last but not least, the beans and rice. Yes, the beans and rice. The beans are seasoned perfectly and not at all greasy. The rice is average. Definitely mix in the beans or whatever sauce happens to be clinging to your plate.Restaurant dot com currently has a coupon. Go check it out.
