Snow's Lakeside Tavern

Our group from the Y visited Snow's Lakeside Tavern today. There were multiple tables of large groups today, and the wait staff handled everybody with smiles and efficiency. The food was good and arrived in a timely fashion.

I've been here a few times and the service is always great. The most recent time we went for trivia and plenty of groups competed. Food and drinks came quickly while we were there. We're excited to go back next Thursday!

Last night was our first time visiting Snow's. Based on the servers recommendation my husband ordered a fish log and i ordered the $26 ribeye. I did not eat the hot slaw, ate a good portion of the baked potato but the steak was so tough i sent it back. The server apologized and took my while plate and asked if i wanted anything else. By this time my husband was half way through his meal and i said no, I'm good, just take it off my bill. After all the inconvenience to out dinner Snow's had the nerve to charge me for the hot slaw and the half eaten baked potato. Unbelievable! I should have said something while i was there but it really didn't register with me what had happened until got home and thought about it! That was first and LAST visit to Snow's

I've been eating at Snow's for a long time. I always get the full cod log, hot slaw & mashed potatoes. In past I've given it 5 stars, but not this time. Cod log was smaller than full log in past, overcooked so VERY dry with tiny lemon slice made for a drink, thus no juice. Hot slaw had VERY little bacon, crumbs at best. Mashed potatoes tasted like instant with a little spice to make them look like homemade which in past they tasted like real potatoes. OVERALL...a HUGE disappointment!What happened Snow's??

Saturday 12/7/24 at 5 pm, sat in the bar right in view of bartenders and servers. busy but not packed. never greeted after 7 mins so left. a server looked at us a few times but never came over or sent anyone over. other servers standing around talking. service always hit or miss here. done with this place. too bad because food is descent i don't believe i should be responsible for hunting down my own oservice. taking my $ somewhere else.

My wife and I stopped in here a few months ago. Seat yourself which never seems to be good thing. After waiting for about 10 minutes, a young guy named Alex finally came over and took our drink order. Five minutes later he brought our drinks and menu's and asked if we needed anything else. After that we never saw him again. He was over at a couple of other tables talking but never came back to take our food order. Needless to say we are done with this joint.

Great food choices. Great beer selection. And on a nice day you can sit outside by the pond. The service is also very good.

We've been here many times, but the food is just ok. The bar is the best place to sit if you're there to have some beers. Bartenders are great.

The overhead lights are so bright (think highbeams) you feel like you're on stage when you're here. Not a relaxing vibe at all, but the place was built nicely

We enjoy playing music trivia each week at Snow's. While trivia is a great time, unfortunately the food is not very good. We order different menu items each week hoping to find a winner. For the most part the food is very bland or dry and bland. We have tried various menu items such as the open face roast beef, meatloaf, chicken fettuccine alfredo, and grilled chicken sandwiches to name a few. The chicken is always overcooked. The meatloaf just looks sad and the rest is very bland. The waitress never asks how everything is-it's like she just knows. I hope they work to improve their food as trivia is so much fun.
